During the bonfire I was sitting by Minho as gally was in the fight pit like always. The flames crackled. Gally had his fight pit like always, first time I was thrown in there I can tell you I did not win.
Minho puts his hand on my thigh "you okay?" I look at him "yeah. Just thinking" he kissed my cheek. I smile, I look over at newt and greenie as they talked
Newt grabbed a jar of some liquid. "Here. Put some hair on your chest." Newt said, handing it to the Greenie making him grab it. He went to take a drink but quickly cringed and spit it out, making Newt look at him with a grin.
"Oh! Oh, my God! What is that?" The Greenie asked as he handed the jar back while Newt laughed, "I don't even know. It's Gally's recipe. It's a trade secret." Newt said as they glanced back to see Gally fighting some guy in a fighting ring. "Yeah, well, he's still an asshole." The Greenie said, making Newt look at him
"He saved your life today. Trust me. The maze is a dangerous place." Newt said as there was a distant sound of the maze changing. "We're trapped here, aren't we?" The Greenie asked and Newt nodded, "For the moment. But... you see those guys? There, by the fire?" Newt asked as he pointed at something behind them making the Greenie turn around. "Those are the runners." Newt said as they looked at a small group of guys.
"That guy in the middle there, that's Minho." Newt said, pointing at the guy in the blue short who was sitting down eating. "He's the Keeper of the Runners. Every morning, when those doors open, they run the maze... mapping it, memorizing it, trying to find a way out." He then points at xyliah who sat by Minho "and Xyliah she's kinda complicated. She helps Alby run things, she helps out with the med-jacks, and she's also a runner." He explained
"her and Minho had a unspoken thing before you came up but I guess they confessed" newt says and Thomas nodded
I walk over to them "Oh, and don't try to make any moves on her. Not only will she kick your ass herself, but you'd have to deal with her brother too"
I giggle "oh hush newt" i sit by them "Wait- brother?" I nodded "Gally" I told him.
He shakes his head "how are you so nice and he's such a...." He stops trying to find a word "Dick?" I finish for him. He nods and I laugh
"gallys not that bad once you get to know him" I said "that's only cause your his sister" Newt said and I roll my eyes "sure whatever" I look at greenie "and I'm sorry for the way he treated you greenie" he nods "it's okay" he says
"Right. Now come in your suppose to be the guest of honor. Come on" I said standing up and pulling him to his feet "Oh, no-" I cut him off "let me show you around!" I said smiling
We started walking past the fighting ring as gally tossed a guy to the floor. "And there we got the builders." Newt said as he pointed over at a group.
