When I woke up, the dim light filtering through the cracks in my hut told me it was already 2 PM. I must have slept through the morning, and the realization filled me with a mix of annoyance and relief.

I hurriedly got dressed, throwing on a simple t-shirt and jeans, and ran out of my hut. As I ran out of my hut, I noticed it was lunchtime and even the runners were back, their tired faces from the Maze.

I groaned inwardly, feeling a pang of regret for having missed out on work.

But as I made my way over to the table, I was greeted with smiles "Why didn't nobody wake me up?" I grumbled half-heartedly, shooting a playful glare at Jeff.

"Hey, sleeping beauty!" he teased, his laughter ringing out across the Glade.

"Because you needed to sleep," Minho chimed in, his voice calm and reassuring.

As I settled down at the table, I exchanged greetings with the others, taking in their familiar faces and the comforting buzz of conversation.

Newt's concerned gaze met mine, and he leaned in closer, his voice filled with genuine worry.

"How do you feel?" he asked, his brow furrowed in concern. "Like I've been hit by a Greiver," I admitted with a wry grin. It was time to go back to work "You should get more rest liyah" Minho says.

"I'm okay. I've been sleeping all day" I told him. He looks me in my eyes like he was looking for something. "Trust me Minho I'm fine" he hesitated but nodded "okay"

I made my way towards the Medjack hut. And Ben walks up to Minho "Just friends?" He teased. Minho glanced at him "what" "Friends don't look at friends like that" Ben says and Minho took a minute. "They don't" Minho nodded

Clint greeted me with a knowing smile as I entered, his expression sympathetic but encouraging. He thought I was going back to my hut. "Back to work already?" he asked, he handed me a stack of bandages to organize.I nodded, grateful for the distraction that work provided. As I worked, I couldn't shake the lingering sense of unease that gnawed at me, but I pushed it aside, focusing on the task at hand.

It wasn't long before Gally appeared at the entrance of the hut, his expression serious but concerned. He glanced around the room, his eyes finally settling on me, and he made his way over, his footsteps echoing in the quiet space.

"Xyliah" he said, his voice soft but determined as he approached.

"How are you feeling?"I offered him a tired smile. "I'm okay, Gally," I replied, my voice tinged with exhaustion but filled with gratitude.

"Just a bit tired, that's all."He nodded, his gaze lingering on me for a moment longer before he spoke again. "You sure?" I nod. "Yes gal" he nodded "okay...you know where to find me if you need me" he says and planted a kiss on my head, then walks out.

That night, I finished up my tasks in the Medjack hut and stepped outside into the cool evening air. As I walked towards the center of the Glade, I noticed Minho who was walking towards me

"Hey," he said softly, falling into step beside me. "You sure you're okay liyah?" I nodded, appreciating his genuine care for my well-being. "I've been asked that to many times today. And I'm just tired, Minho. It's been a long day, that's all," I replied, trying to reassure him.

He stayed quiet for a moment, seemingly lost in thought. Then, he turned to me with a small smile.

"You know, it's okay to be scared.. you don't have to act brave around me like you do the others.I'm here for you," he said, his voice sincere. I felt my heart skip a beat at his words, realizing that there might be something more between us than just friendship.

As we walked through the Glade towards my hut, the atmosphere grew quieter. The familiar sounds of laughter and conversation faded into the background, and it felt as if it was just the two of us. I couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability, knowing that Minho was by my side.

As we reached my hut, I turned to face Minho, feeling a rush of nerves and anticipation. "Would you...stay with me for a while?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "Your right.. I am...I am scared to be alone tonight." His expression softened, and he nodded without hesitation. "Of course, liyah. I'll stay with you."

We entered the hut, its small space suddenly feeling more intimate and comforting. I got in bed with Minho took a seat beside me. The silence between us was filled with unspoken emotions and the electricity of a newfound connection.

As the night wore on we laid on our backs on my bed. we talked about our hopes, fears, and dreams. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and I found myself opening up to Minho in ways I hadn't with anyone else in the Glade.

As the hours passed, fatigue finally caught up with me, and my eyelids grew heavy. I rolled over with my head against Minho's chest finding solace in his presence. With his arms wrapped around me, I felt safe and protected as my eyes shut.
