"So, I want you to look at this. Between the Ethnocentrism and Xenocentrism, which is better class?" Ms. Reyes started to ask in our class about our topic.
Someone raised a hand.
"Yes, Mr. Moreau?" Ms. Reyes called Icarus to answer.
"Xenocentrism, of course as filipinos, we can clearly see that xenocentrism is much more of a popular here." Icarus explained.
I also raised my hand. Hindi pwedeng siya lang ang may point.
"Ok, yes Miss Suarez." Ms. Reyes called me.
"I do not agree with Mr. Moreau, why should filipinos justify their love for other culture when we have our own? We have multiple of cultures here in the Philippines? Then why patronize other's culture?" I asked Icarus na nakakunot na ang noo ngayon.
"Let's not act like we don't know that Philippines was colonized by other countries that brought their cultures." Sagot naman niya sakin pabalik at tumayo na, feeling tensed up base sa reaksyon niya.
"But it would be a waste of time para sa mga naglalaban ng sarili nating kultura hindi ba? Para narin tayong nawalan ng sarili nating bansa kung hindi natin mamahalin ang sariling atin?" I fought back. I hear our classmates getting tensed up as well.
I can clearly here them.
"Hoy tama na 'yan!"
"Uy, d'yan nagsimula lola't lolo ko."
"HAHAHAHA di talaga paawat."
"Tama na Icarus, paawat ka na 'ya."
Then the bell rang.
"Yun oh, Icarus save by the bell ka!" Inakbayan siya ni Enzo at hinila na balabas ng room.
"Na ka sis, ginisa mo na naman si kuya!" Natatawang lumapit saakin si Nyx. Ngumiti lang ako sakaniya.
Wala namang personalan 'yun eh.

It was kind of tiring day since puro discussion lang, wala man lang pa activities.
I love activities more than discussion eh. Gusto ko report report, of kaya group activities. I really enjoy it.
