𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚: reader makes a 9-1-1 call and both Buck and Eddie get very protective over her.

𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔: break-in, angst?, whump, violence, fluff, poly!relationship

𝒂𝒐𝟑 𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒍𝒆: 'Break in (Buck/Eddie/Reader)'

𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒔: I hate this so much.

"9-1-1 what's your emergency?", Maddie asks answering the call.

"Someone's in my house.", the voice on the other line whispers with a shaky voice.

"Y/n?", Maddie questions. This piques May's interest, she turns to look at Maddie as she positions her headset downwards.

Maddie hears your heavy breathing hitch. "Maddie, please help me.", you sob quietly.

"Y/n are you at home?", she asks making her notes. "Yes.", you murmur.

Today was your day off. Everything has been going fine until you were doing something in your room and heard a loud crash. You'd poked your head around the corner only to see the back of a person.

You quickly but quietly grabbed your phone from your bed and hid in the closet.

"Do you know how many intruders there are?", she asks calmly though that's not how she's feeling.

"Just one.", you mutter scared to be too loud.

You can hear the footsteps but you can't see anything. Currently you're hiding in your bedroom closet.

"118 this is dispatch, we have an active break in. 22 year old female alone inside with the intruder. Location is 8 Hadley street Los Angeles. Police on route.", Maddie informs the 118 crew after notifying LAPD.

"Copy that dispatch.", Bobby speaks into his radio.

"Hold up. Did she just say 8 Hadley street Los Angeles?", Buck asks, face dropping.

"Yep, it's Y/n.", Bobby confirms. They all get into the fire truck and make their way to your house.

Buck and Eddie are freaking out. Mostly Buck while the crew tries to calm him. "But what if she's hurt? What if we don't get there in time?", he rambles.

"Buck, she'll be fine. Y/n's a strong girl.", Chimney tries to comfort him while Eddie stares blankly into the distance.

"We don't know that.", Buck argues with watery eyes.

All the crew can do is offer sympathetic smiles and wait helplessly until they arrive.

...

"Y/n, where in the house are you currently hiding?", Maddie asks. The phone shakes in your hands but you try your best not to drop it.

Why so many questions? Why wasn't help here yet?

"The bedroom closet.", you whisper. The closet was dark and stuffy. The size of what felt like a shoe box.

"I'm going to need you to stay very quiet and calm, okay?", Maddie tells you. May joining her side.

"Okay.", you struggle to say coherently as your bottom lip quivers uncontrollably.

Maddie clicks onto 118's line. "118 this is dispatch, victim is currently hiding in the main bedroom's closet."

Bobby clicks his radio, "Copy that Dispatch, pulling up now."

The fire truck pulls up outside the drive way joining the police car that just arrived.

"Alright, help has arrived.", Maddie informs you relieved.

But she doesn't get the answer she had hoped for. Instead her and May are met with a terrifying scream.

The closet door is ripped open and you're pulled out with such force that you drop the phone and stumble against the attacker.

"Please let me go!", you cry. All Maddie and May can do is listen on and hope for the best. Tears of their own forming.

Your scream is heard from outside. The crew turn livid.

"What are we waiting for?!", Buck shouts when no one's going in.

"Police are requesting more back up.", a police officer informs him.

"We don't need more back up.", he yells again.

"Buck.", Bobby says.

"No this is ridiculous.", Buck and Eddie run into the house.

They stumble through rooms making their way to you.

They can hear your screaming, not seemingly able to get there fast enough.

"Get away from her!", Buck shouts from the door way with Eddie behind him.

The attacker turns around startled, you still struggling in his arms.

"Don't come any closer!", the intruder shouts. But without a weapon all Buck and Eddie hear is an empty threat.

They charge at the man. Buck pulls you and the attacker away and into his arms.

Eddie socks the man right in the jaw sending him stumbling.

Eddie tackles him to the ground beside you and Buck on the floor.

Your huddled in Bucks arms crying. "You're okay, You're okay.", he soothes you and him.

Athena and another police officer come into the room and handcuff the man.

Eddie joins you and Buck. Coming beside you wrapping his arms around you and kissing the top of your head.

"Did he hurt you?", Eddie asks softly. "No. Not really.", you reply softly .

The three of you stay like that for awhile.

"Thanks for saving me.", you smile faintly.

They hug you tighter. "Always.", Buck murmurs gently, resting his head against yours.

Now you felt safe once again, in their arms.
