"I'm home!", your husband Eddie calls from the front door. He dumps his keys on the table by the entrance and wanders over to you who's sitting on the couch.

"Hi, baby.", you say turning to meet his kiss.

Eddie takes a look around searching for Christopher. "Where's Chris?", he asks. Your son usually likes to hang around with you both but recently he's started enjoying his space. Eddie was struggling with his son pulling back and becoming more independent.

"He's in his room. You know how it is now, he's growing into a pre-teen. He doesn't want to hang around his lame parents anymore.", you tease making Eddie scoff.

He plunks down on the couch next to you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. "There is nothing lame about us.", He smiles leaning in to kiss you.

He pushes you back slightly to deepen the kiss when you're broken apart by a loud, "Eww."

Eddie rolls his eyes at the boy standing in the hallway doorframe, "What? Can't I kiss your mother?"

"No!", Christopher giggly shouts. You laugh as Eddie pulls you closer and peppers your face with kisses to tease the young boy.

"Stop.", Chis whines and Eddie does.

You get up from your seated position and head to the kitchen. On the way, you ruffle your son's curly hair.

"How does pizza sound?", you ask picking up the menu and your phone.

"Yay!", Christopher cheers. "Alright, what do you want?", you question the pair as Chris settles beside Eddie.

"Pepperoni!", "Meat lovers!", they both yell over the top of each other.

You laugh, "Pepperoni and meat lovers it is."
