Title: "Cloudy With A Chance of Emotion"
Clouds came in all different shapes and sizes, variations of white and gray that floated through the air effortlessly.
-
Muichiro always loved clouds. They were so light and airy some days, and other days it looked as though they were sad and heavy. They were like humans, in a way. One minute they would feel one emotion, another minute they'd feel a different emotion.
-
He couldn't relate to the clouds at all in that way, but when Muichiro looked at them and the first word that came to mind was either "air" or "nothingness", he felt as though they were mirrors of himself.
-
He felt like he didn't even exist in the world anymore. He was just a gust of wind, one that no one paid any mind to.
-
Except for you.
-
You were Shinobu and Kanao's younger sister, and you identified as a "butterfly girl", as the others did.
-
You never trained to become a demon slayer like your older sisters, but you did learn about poisons and medicines and worked to nurse injured demon slayers back to full health before sending them off to another life threatening mission.
-
You hated the fact that your sister's were risking their lives like that everyday.
-
But it had to be done.
-
You were outside hanging a yellow triangle patterned haori out on the clothesline to dry when one of your older sisters, Kanao, came out to talk to you as she usually did while you worked and she didn't have a mission or anything to do.
-
She always made sure to keep you company when she didn't have a mission so that you never got lonely like she did from time to time.
-
"So, that Kamado boy, huh? Didn't know you were into red-heads," you played, as soon as you felt her presence at your side.
-
She reached in the basket to grab another haori, which happened to be green and black checkered patterned, which flushed her face with a shade of red instantly as she threw it nervously back in the basket.
-
You giggled as she instead grabbed out a brown fur pelt and clipped it to the clothesline.
-
"It's okay, he's cute, I guess. And have you seen the way he looks at you when you aren't paying attention?" You smirk and laugh as her face gets brighter red with each word.
-
"Hey you, when do you think my uniform will be clean? I have a mission I need to attend to," a cold voice interrupts your conversation from behind you.
-
You turn around and your eyes connect with dull, teal ones as they stare at you, waiting for an answer that you have yet to give.
-
You felt an elbow to your rib, as you cleared your throat and smiled softly at the- boy?
