*Lukes POV*
Luke laughed loudly as Calum lost, yet another game of Fifa. "Come on man! Stop laughing at me. You know I'd rather play actual football." Calum pouted, putting the controller down and striding out of his room. Probably to get a beer. Michael sat on Calum's bed, scrolling through his phone as Ashton sat in his desk chair, watching the two boys play Fifa.
After a long, agonizing week of school, it was finally the weekend. Calum walked back in the room, with a beer in hand, just as Luke had expected, and sat back down next to Luke, taking a swig of the alcoholic beverage. All four of the boys were silent for a minute. "We should go out or something. I'm bored." Ashton said suddenly, spinning around in the chair.
"We could always go to the Mall." Michael suggested. "A good place to cause havoc."
Luke couldn't help but agree. Plus he hadn't gone to the Mall in the while. He heard they redid the food court. "Okay, I'm up for that. Calum?" He said, nudging his friend.
Calum nodded, not saying a word, pulling on his boots and walking down the stairs towards the front door, throwing his beer can into the recycle bin. He lead the way to his car, unlocking the door and letting us all jump in. It took a couple tries for the engine to start up, but after the 4th time, it purred to life, sending vibrations throughout the car.
Calum smiled. Even though the car was a dump, he loved the sound of the engine roaring to life. "You've really got to get a new car, bro. Or at least fix this one up. I mean this thing is what, at least 70 years old?" Michael commented from the backseat, picking at the fraying leather covering the seats.
"Hey! It's vintage! And stop picking at the leather." Calum replied back, his eyebrows furrowing together into a scowl. He focused his attention back onto the rose, occasionally glancing at Michael through the mirror.
"I swear, something you two act like you're a couple or something!" Ashton joked, chuckling lightly. Luke shook his head, a small smile appearing on his face. The boys joked about the thought of Calum and Michael together (I'm feeling the Malum feels today, don't blame me) Calum pulled into the parking lot, and quickly parked into a space, cutting off a couple of other teenagers from getting into the spot. Calum stepped out, a smug look on his face. God he was such and idiot sometimes.
The four boys walked into the west entrance of the mall, closest to the movie theatre. Ashton suggested seeing a movie, but the rest of the boys quickly disagreed. There was nothing good out. They were all stupid chick flicks. The boys walked around the mall, occasionally annoying some employees with their constant yelling and rough housing.
They were just walking into the food court when Luke's eyes spotted something, or the someone he wanted most.
Kat.
She was here? The shy girl from school? Well by her side was Chrissy Malpaya, so off course she'd be here. She wouldn't be here by herself. The girls held a Starbucks drink in their hands, laughing as they sat down at a table near the edge of the food court. Chrissy wore her usual attire, god did she own anything else other than that?
Kat wore a tank top with the word, idiot, across the front: damn she really did love her tank tops, with a flannel wrapped around her waist. She wore skinny jeans that were distressed in multiple places, and her usual boots. Her eyes looked more bright than usual, but Luke noticed that she had lined her eyes with eye liner. It looked pretty good on her.
Luke smirked and nudge his friends, nodding his head towards the two girls. "There she is."
"I don't know why you like her, Luke. Honestly." Calum started, staring at the two girls, his hands in his pockets. "You could go for someone hotter, like Jenna Hill. At least she wouldn't bring your image down."
