*Luke's POV*

------------------ 2 weeks later, 3 days before Halloween (and the party) ------------------

His phone rang loudly in his back pocket. Luke shifted slightly to reach it. He groaned loudly when he saw it was a text message from Sarah. He paused the tv show he was watching and read the text.

Message: Party at my place on Halloween, starting at 8 and going on till whenever. Food and beer is being provided by some people, so you don't need to bring anything. (Unless you want to. No one would turn down some more vodka.) Bring anyone you want! You know how to dress, and if you don't, ask someone who does. Can't wait to see you there. ;)

Luke nodded, even though no one was able to see. Bring anyone you want. Luke knew just who he wanted to bring. He scrolled through his contact until he got to the "K's". He messaged Kat with a quick, "You going to Sarah's Halloween party?" He would've just gone to her house, but she was currently at the mall, working her shift at Hot Topic.

"No. I wasn't invited. I know Chrissy is going with Michael though." She replied. Michael and Chrissy had finally made amends after a year of fighting, which shocked everyone. Who knew some vodka and making out could solve some underlying anger and jealousy.

"Well then, I'm bringing you with me. :)"

"I don't even have a costume. :("

Luke rolled his eyes before answering. "At Sarah's Halloween party, no one ever wears a costume. Just wear a dress that shows off 'what you've got' as Sarah would say."

Kat took a moment to answer, probably working with a costumer."I don't have any dresses, though! You've seen my wardrobe. It's full of band t-shirts, flannels, and ripped jeans. You should know by now that I'm not a girly girl."

Luke nodded unconsciously, agreeing with what she was saying. "Can anyone take you shopping?"

"No, Chrissy's with Michael, My parents are at work, and I don't really know Ashton well."

"What about Calum?"

"Do you really think he wants to follow me around the mall for the rest of the day? I'll just go shopping by myself. My shift ends in 10."

"No, no. I'm not going to let you go shopping by yourself. I'll be there. Meet you at the Starbucks." Luke insisted. He didn't want her shopping alone. That was the worst. Even if he had to walk into 'Forever 21' with her or something. He did't mind though. He loved spending time with her. Hearing her laugh and talk, seeing her eyes light up whenever they talked about something she liked, or how she pouted her lips when Luke teased her.

"Okay, fine. But hurry up Blondie. ;)"

Luke rolled his eyes at the little nickname she'd given him. He stood up, snatching his keys from the hook near the door, slipping his shoes on and grabbing his jacket, stepping out into the cold Autumn air. He climbed into his car, starting the engine and speeding towards the mall. He was there in 15 minutes. The automatic doors opened up, allowing him to walk in swiftly, a wave of cold air hit his face. From the west entrance, he was close to the Starbucks. His eyes scanned the crowd before landing on Kat, who stood in front of the coffee place, a drink in each hand.

"Hey Blondie. I got us some drinks." She smiled a him, handing him the caramel frapachino he always got, once he got closer.

"Thanks!" He said, taking a sip of his drink. "So what store do you want to go to?"

Kat shrugged. "I asked Sally," the girl who worked with Kat at Hot Topic, "and she told me what stores were good for getting dresses. I'm not going to bore you with them, though. I know you won't listen anyways." She explained, making Luke laugh. She was right. "Come on, let's go. We haven't got all night, and if I'm not back by 9, my dad will kill me."
