Jake woke up from his sleep hearing rustling sounds and to smell of omlette.He looked beside him and Sunghoon wasn't there.was that a dream?no right?

"you're awake!Good morning!" Sunghoon cheerfully says.

Jake looks up, his eyes still half drooped "Good morning, what time is it?" 

"9:15, we don't have classes though." Sunghoon opens the curtains and window for fresh air to rush in.

"yeah right.I'll take a shower, can I borrow some more of your clothes?" Jake asks as he put the mattress back at it's place.

"Sure! bread and omlette will do for breakfast right?"

"ofcourse" Jake smiles at the younger and makes his way towards the bathroom with a pair of Jeans and a T-shirt he liked from Sunghoon's closet.

As Jake took a shower, lost in thought, he couldn't help but wonder how he and Sunghoon had ended up in that sleeping position. He vaguely remembered falling asleep while Sunghoon was still engrossed in his book, but the details were hazy.he didn't seem to know, so it dosen't matter.

He came out and saw the small table was set with two plates of omlet and bread.it was a very different breakfast from what Jake had at his home, they even had a menu for it, Golden Croissant Royale, Lobster and Avocado Breakfast Tacos, Diamond-studded Blueberry Pancakes, Truffle-infused Eggs Benedict, and many more that his mother added.

This was way different from them, but somehow Jake felt his apettite rise when he thought of having this.

Ni-ki,Jungwon and Sunoo decided they'll hangout after school today.Ever since they became friends Ni-ki was always trying to spend more time with Sunoo by going on dates hoping to be more than just best friends,both he and Sunoo felt that they weren't spending time with Jungwon so today they cancelled their date.

 meanwhile Jungwon was hopelessly in love with Ni-ki but he knew that confessing his love could jeopardize their friendship, and he couldn't bear the thought of losing them.

So he buried his feelings deep inside, hiding them behind a mask of friendship and laughter. He watched from afar as Ni-ki and Sunoo went on numerous dates, each one causing a pang of jealousy and longing in his heart.

"Mr.Yang! may I know why you're zoining out during such an important lesson?!" The teacher yelled at the boy who was zoning out looking out of the window.

"I'm sorry Miss." Jungwon stood up and bowed and then quickly passed on a smile to Ni-ki and Sunoo who had expressions of concern on their faces.

I should not let my feelings get in the way of our friendship, I dare not.

After classes were over, they needed to decide the location.

"Guys, let's go somewhere away from city hustle." Ni-ki suggests.

"as if such a place exists" Sunoo remarks. "It does Sun! when my Hyung was sad he always headed their and once he took me with him, it was beautiful." Ni-ki says.

"where is it?" Jungwon asks.

"we have to walk a little, but it's worth it.it's a small deserted park with a huge oak tree,we can climb it!" Ni-ki excitedly says.

Jungwon agreed,Sunoo was a little reluctant but gave in since Ni-ki wanted to go.

They went out of the school, and decided to meet in front of the bus stop after changing their uniforms.

Their stop was the old oak tree at the abandoned park, its gnarled branches reaching towards the sky like ancient fingers. 

With a sense of excitement, Ni-ki scrambled up the tree, laughing and joking as he climbed higher and higher, until he reached the very top and signaled the other two to come up.

"that seems difficult." Sunoo says scared if he might fall.

Jungwon smiles."it's fun Sunoo, and it's not hard at all, you go first I'll come behind you."

"okay, if you say so." Sunoo says and starts climbing.within 40 seconds he reaches the top and Jungwon follows.

the three were successfully now at the top of the tree.

From their lofty perch, they could see the entire town spread out below them, a patchwork of rooftops and winding streets bathed in the golden light of the afternoon sun. For a moment, they simply sat in silence, taking in the beauty of their surroundings and the feeling of freedom that came with it.

Ni-ki chuckles and ruffles Sunoo's hair."you were reluctant, now look at you being all smiley."

"it's pretty Ni-ki, really!" Sunoo says as he holds Ni-ki's hands and interwining their fingers.

Jungwon sat their awkwardly feeling left out but once his eyes moved to the scenery at front, he smiled.So pretty.

Ni-ki glanced at Sunoo."I love you Sunshine."

It was already evening now and Jake decided to leave."I'll get going now, thanks again."

"You don't have to thank me,I enjoyed having you around."Sunghoon says smiling.

As both of them step outside a car stops in front of the house and Sunghoon felt Jake tense up beside him."what's wrong Jake?"

"D-dad,that's my dad." Jake's voice trembled and Sunghoon couldn't understand anything.is his father a bad person?

The man soon opens the car door and shuts it hard before walking upto Jake, while Sunghoon stood their frozen.what the hell is this?

"So this is where you were, in some slum, staying with some filthy poor boy?! is this how I raised you to be like?! and what the hell are you wearing?!" The man thunders.

"Dad, please.I'll leave right now, please go back." Jake says his voice laced with fear.

The man then proceeds to glare at Sunghoon."stay away from my son, and you Jaeyun, I need to see you at home in thirty minutes." He looks at Jake and leaves, each footstep screaming anger.

After he leaves, Jake turns to the younger, his eyes trying their best to hold tears."Sunghoon, I'm sorry okay?please don't think about what he said, he's just like that."

Sunghoon shook his head. 

"It must be hard, Jake," he murmured softly. 

"It is." the older slightly smiled.

Sunghoon smiled and ruffled Jake's hair " I promise it'll be okay, Jaeyun."

Jake felt heat rising to his cheeks again.no, this is wrong.
