On moving into the corridor towards the dining hall Jay suddenly halted, the Jake and Heeseung stopping seeing him as well.

"Guys, go ahead I'll just call my mom once." He said and the other two nodded and walked to the hall.

Jake and Heeseung made their way to the hall and bowed to the elders seated there, most of the family members haven't arrived yet.

"Jake, are you feeling a bit better now?" Heeseung whispered as they sat at their places.

Jake nodded."I'm okay, I hope he dosen't yell or something."

After a few seconds of silence Jay walked in, bowed to the elders and made his way to his seat sighing deeply as he sat down.

"what's wrong?" Heeseung asked as he put his hand on Jay's hand resting oh his thigh.

Jake looked at him in concern as well.

Jay shook his head lightly.

"Jongseong, just tell us, what's bothering you?" Heeseung asked again.

Jay sighed again clutching his fists a little which was quickly softened as Heeseung put his hand on it. "It's my Mom." He finally says eyes fixed on Heeseung's hands holding his.

"she's been staying away from home more often now a days and she and dad argue a lot as well, not like they didn't before but now it's just turned worse, dad keeps blaming mom for something .I don't understand what's wrong.I asked her if she was coming  today, she said she had a meeting so again, no."

"Oh Jay" Heeseung rubbed his hands on his friend's back.

Jake glanced at Jay revealing eyes that were upset, they never thought Jay would be going through this, their family seemd like the best among the three but looks like they have a fair share of darkness.

"you didn't have to keep it to yourself, we are always here." Jake whispered.

Jay smiled looking at the two."thanks, both of you."

After some more time, their families started entering one by one and the table was full now.

The three kids bowed to the elders in respect and took their seats again.

"Oh, Ryeon-sshi won't be joining us?" Jake's mother asked as she found the seat empty.

"I apologise, my wife was caught up in something, it was urgent." Park Woojin, Jay's father replied.

The dinner went by peacefully with the adults mostly joking and sometimes discussing issues regarding the companies.

Jake was at relief, untill his name was called.

"Jaeyun." His grandfather called, he sat right across him and the whole table was now quiet. Jake gulped in fear. I'm so done.

He was ready to hear insults and yelling untill a glass of cold water was splashed on his face. sounds of gasps filled the room.

"Father-" Jake's dad tried speaking but was cut off.

"Don't you give me excuses today. Jaeyun, why did you fight with Hojin?" His voice was stone cold laced with authority, maybe today he didn't care if Park Euncheol was here.

"I didn't fight him." Jake's voice was so low but it was still audible due to the silence in the whole room.

The old man sighes placing the glass with a loud thud on the table causing Jake to flinch.

"You are a disapointment.I have thought this through, Jaemin will return to Korea and take up the Heir position, I was wrong entrusting it to you." the whole room was looking at the old man with wide eyes.
