"Inuyasha SIT!" It was nearing sundown when the Miko's patience finally snapped. It was surprising, really. He figured with how overly obnoxious the hanyou was being, she would've said something sooner. Even his own seemingly endless tolerance for  nonsense had come to an end.

Luckily for the whelp, it was the Miko who took action and not him. Sesshomaru then began to look for a suitable camping ground whilst keeping a keen ear on the young woman and his idiotic half-brother. He assumed, after the humans were pushed so hard physically, that the Miko was going to make clear she was ready to call ot a day.

Stealing a glance at the two sleeping children piled upon Ah-Un's saddle, he would admit he would be inclined to agree if that were the case. Turning his eyes back to their immediate surroundings,  he noticed a clearing not too far from them. He could smell a hot springs nearby, and judging by the increasing volume of the Mikos voice, he figured she would enjoy the relaxation after the argument currently ensuing.

"You don't have to treat us like crap every time you decide you want something stupid!" Kagome was furious. Inuyasha must have thought she was an idiot. She had felt the all too familiar tug on her soul a few hours before sunrise.

The pain caused her to wake up, only to see Inuyasha sneaking back into camp, kikyos shinidamachū following behind him like a guard. Inuyasha wasn't slick, Kagome knew the reason he was pushing them was to be able to meet up with her again that night, not to find jewel shards.

His seeming kink for self punishment had reached an all-time high, and the hunt for the shikon shards seemed to fall to the wayside in his thirst for some sort of attonement.

Kagome understood why he felt responsible for Kikyos' death. She also understood that Inuyasha and Kikyo shared a bond that was stronger than anything they shared. She had accepted it a while ago. But that wasn't the issue.

The problem was, in his quest to sneak off AGAIN, he was unintentionally exhausting the other nembers of the group to the point that she was beginning to worry about their health. If he was so anxious to commit necrophilia, then he needed to go ahead and run on without them. No one wanted to keep pushing themselves for one idiot hanyous selfishness.

"Getting the shards isn't stupid wench!" Inuyashas ears pressed back into his skull in an effort to hide his guilt. Sure, he knew Kagome knew he snuck off every once in a while to see Kikyo, but it was something they never talked about.

It was an unspoken agreement that what happened with Kikyo, STAYED with Kikyo. Kagome didn't ask and he didn't tell. It was an arrangement that had worked for years, but ever since his prick of a half-brother and his pack joined their group, she had been different.

She wasn't aa forgiving and her temper was shorter than ever before. At least with him anyway. It was like, the more time passed, the more they argued. It was like she just woke up every day and thought 'what can I get pissed off and overreact to inuyasha about?' It was becoming exhausting.

All inuyasha wanted was to finish this damn quest, kill the stupid fuckin spider, and either figure out a way to bring Kikyo back to lowlife, or follow her into the afterlife. And Kagome was doing everything in her power to make all of it harder than it needed to be. Stupid wench.

"Right, because THATS why you've been pushing us nonstop all day."

Her sarcastic tone wasnt lost on him and he growked, narrowing his eyes on her with a huff. "And what's that supposed to mean?"

"I'm not stupid, Inuyasha."

"Could've fooled me."

"SIT!" He should've expected it, but regardless the wench had let her temper get her again. Now he was stuck for at least the next ten minutes! It's like she thrived on wasting his time! "We're done for the day. Get over it or keep going without us."
