Curiosity Killed... the Dog?

A flash of red blurred at breakneck speeds in the forest near the village of Edo. Though hardly visible to the human eye, the immense feeling of agitation left in its wake could be felt by all.

By now, everyone was aware there were two missing members from the newly expanded inutachi, though no one worried overly much. The villagers of Edo had grown used to their strange Mikos habit of disappearing every few weeks, but she always came back.

It was their assumption that the other missing party had simply escorted the scanty clad holy woman for safety reasons. But Kaede knew better.

Over the years, Kagome had finally started coming into her own. The futuristic Miko was plenty capable of defending herself long enough to make it to and from the portal in the Bone Eaters Well. Even if she wasn't, Inuyasha would've been the one to escort her, not his elder half-brother.

No.

The fact that Inuyasha was still in Edo, furious as kingdom come, and Lord Sesshomaru was missing could mean only one thing. Kagome had taken the inu lord home to her time.

When she thought about it, the situation was slightly humorous. Inuyasha was frothing at the mouth because he believed Kagome seemed to enjoy making his job as her protector more difficult than necessary.

And Kagome? Of course, she would befrend the deadliest yokai in Nippon and take him home with her, like a child who found a puppy in need of care, abandoned in the path.

Shaking her head with a chuckle at her outlandish thoughts, Kaede grabbed her basket and set out to gather herbs in the forest. If she so happened to run into an irate hanyu while working, then maybe she could get some more information about what was going on.

"Stupid wench!" Inuyasha was pissed. It wasn't enough that Kagome had the nerve to tell the prick about the well. The idiot had to go and invite him to her time! And the well! Why the hell did it let the bastard through?

All these years, it had only ever been HIM that was granted access to Kagomes time. Why now would someone else be able to go through? And why his bastard of a half-brother?! Why not Shippo or Sango?

At least they're were important to the wench! Sesshomaru was just... an annoyance they had to deal with wor the time being. It didn't make sense!

Nothing made sense anymore. He and Kagome were arguing constantly, and she spent more and more time getting to know the ice prick. Now, not only did she tell him her secret, but she even managed to take Sesshomaru with her.

She didn't even invite him. She didn't even care how he felt about everything. Inuyasha knew he needed to figure out what was going on and quick. Or else the dynamics of his pack were going change forever right under his nose.
