In the depths of my heart and soul, a love so pure was born.

It crept in slowly and took me by surprise.

But something was different about this love, it had a demand.

The person I loved always expected the best, nothing less.

Every day, I strived to meet their expectations.

I tried my best to be the perfect partner.

But no matter how hard I tried, it was never enough.

Their high standards left me feeling defeated.

In their eyes, I was flawed and imperfect.

Every mistake I made seemed to be amplified.

No matter how hard I tried, I could never measure up.

Their demands became my constant battle.

But deep within me, a flame flickered on.

I knew I couldn't give up on this love.

Despite the rejections, I kept trying to please.

Hoping that one day, they would accept me fully.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months.

The weight of their expectations became unbearable.

But I couldn't walk away, no matter how heavy it became.

I couldn't give up, not when love was at stake.

And so, I endured the disappointment and the rejection.

I kept pushing myself to be more than who I was.

But deep down, I knew that love was about acceptance.

Not about meeting unrealistic standards.

In the end, it was their love that shattered my heart.

They walked away from our relationship, leaving me shattered.

But I am grateful for the love I once had.

It taught me the importance of being true to myself.

No longer will I strive for perfection.

I will embrace my imperfections and flaws.

For it is in these imperfections that I find my strength.

And someday, someone will love me for who I am.
