Under the shrowd of loneliness,

I met someone who saw me as family.

They embraced me with open arms,

Offering solace and love.

But I was not in the right mind,

Lost in a whirlwind of confusion.

I confessed to them, unaware of consequence,

And in that moment, their feelings changed.

They began to like me,

Treated me as gentle as a dove,

They showered me with affection,

Creating a bond that felt divine.

But over time, I realized my mistake,

The consequences of my actions weighed heavily.

I longed for solitude, for my sanity,

To break free from the chains I had willingly tied.

And so, with a heavy heart,

I made the decision to end things.

To sever the ties that bound us,

To reclaim my independence and sanity.

But little did I know,

Their feelings had changed,

From admiration and respect,

To hatred and disdain.

They despised me,

For my choice to leave.

Their once warm embrace turned cold,

And our relationship became old.

Now, I stand alone,

With the weight of guilt upon my shoulders.

I regret my actions, my mistakes,

And the pain I caused, both unknowingly and willfully.

I can only hope with time,

They will forgive me for my indiscretion.

Until then, I will carry the burden of regret,

A reminder of the power words can hold.
