In the Garden of Denial, I sit,
Where forbidden fruit doth grow,
I, a willing participant, forced into a split,
Grasped at your love, oh so low,

Bold desires compelled me to a false plan,
To deny every inch of my reality,
To bind myself to an unsavoury man
Who's keeping me on the brink of morality.

Italic whispers echoed in my mind,
Telling me to let go, to break the chain,
But duty called, and ambition drove me blind,
So I swallowed my tears, and denied myself again.

Under the guise of a fickle-strung love,
An oracle to be trapped in your eternity,
Much like your loyalty to those above
Whose words had formed your absurdity.

You took me by force out of pure sickly jealousy,
Casting aside what you deemed as unworthy,
You, a pilgrim, on a journey for a new-found legacy,
As I found myself drowning in the depths of worry.

While you were falling deeper into adoration,
Calling out to me with your endless affection,
To you, I was your one and only salvation,
But that was really our only true connection.

One month... that's the least I could do..
Since I was the one who did this to you.
