When I heard a thud sound as if someone or something fell. Out of the reflex I turned behind and saw that man picking up a knife. I could hear my heart pounding in my chest. I did only one thing I can do now and that is run. I ran as fast as I could, I could hear the rapid footsteps behind me which means he is chasing me. I stumbled upon a rock as I fell on the ground, turning my head back I saw him coming closer to me.
My hand started shaking as I tried to get up but I felt a sharp pain in my ankle making me fall back on the ground as I hissed in pain. I could hear the footsteps coming closer. I quickly opened my backpack as my hand fumbled among the things trying to find something that can save me and I got it! I took out the big scissors. The man was about to grab me by my hair when I pointed the scissor upwards towards him at his member. Pushing it more inside I looked up at him but he fell on the ground.
I was shocked, I didn't push the scissor that deep in fact there was no blood then how did this guy faint? I looked up and saw a girl standing with a thick wooden stick in her hand. It was dark so I wasn't able to see her face. I got up as that girl moved closer to me making me able to see her face.
"Annie?" I said as I was shocked to see her there.
"You really pinned his balls" she said making my cheeks flush in embarrassment.
"It was self defence!" I said
"What are you doing in the alley?" She asked as I just looked at her for a few seconds.
"C-Can we go somewhere else and talk I really don't want to talk beside a.....I don't know maybe a dead body?" I said, Annie laughed making me shocked ,this was the first time I heard her laugh.
"Ok, sure!" She said still laughing making me chuckle as I picked up my bag and we started walking.
"I thought about the offer and I do want you to be my friend" Annie said out of nowhere making me surprised.
"Oh my god! Really?" I exclaimed with excitement in my voice and a bright smile on my face.
"Yeah, why don't you come to my home for the weekend. We can get to know each other" Annie offered as I smiled and nodded my head.
"Sure! I would love too" I said as Annie walked me to my house.

"Take these cookies I made and give them also if they don't like it tell me I will make something else for them and call me when you reach there and don't forget to--" before Aunt Ruby can say more I cut her in between not letting her complete her sentence.
"Aunt chill, I am going to meet my friend only and I remember everything, you have been repeating all this stuff since last night" I said as I bit the apple before munching on it.
"I know but this time she is someone new with Eliza I was ok as she is my friend's daughter and I know everything about her but this is the first time yo--"
"I got everything, don't worry! Now I am going Byeeeee" I said again not letting Aunt Ruby complete her sentence and picked up the plastic bag which had a cookie box inside it and ran out of the house.
"Uncle!" I called my uncle who was standing beside the car watching something on his phone, upon hearing my voice he looked towards me and smiled.
"Your Aunt was giving you a lecture wasn't she?" Uncle Larry asked as I smiled before opening the backseat and kept the plastic bag there.
"You guessed it right!" I replied making Uncle Larry laugh as we both sat inside the car.
The weekend came faster than expected. I am going to Annie's house for the first time! This is gonna be so fun. I smiled happily while looking out of the window and cold air brushed through my hair.

I stood in front of the house or should I say the mansion in shock.
"They are some real rich people" Uncle Larry said as I just nodded my head not knowing what to say.
A guard came towards as Uncle Larry elbowed me making me come back to reality as we looked towards the guard.
"Are you Miss Iris?" The guard asked me as I nodded my head "please come this way" he said
I followed him inside the giant Iron gate before turning around and waving my hand to Uncle Larry before I turned around and followed that guard.
"Wooww" I exclaimed as I entered the mansion. The interior was screaming expensive. Silver and gold were engraved on the walls. My fingers traced on the wall feeling it's texture. Everything here screamed expensive.
"I wonder if she is really a part of a mafia, how can someone be so expensive?" I said to myself as I looked to the left side and saw a giant window.
"Feels like I am in a castle" I said as I looked outside the window just to see green trees and a river running through between them.
Soon the guard took me in front of a giant metal gate which had unique designs on it and pressed a button beside it 'wait-Don't tell me it's an elevator!' I thought and gasped when a ting sound came from it and the metal door started opening and he went inside as I followed him.
"Even their elevator is so beautiful. They didn't leave the interior of the elevator plain" i said to myself soon the elevator stopped on 2nd floor as I waited for the guard to move so I can follow him.
"From here you have to go on your own Miss Iris, guards are forbidden to come on any floor if it's not for emergencies." The guard said as I nodded understanding his point.
"Thank you for accompanying me till now Mister" I uttered and went out of the elevator.
As soon as I took few steps on second floor I started regretting my decision.
"This place is so big, how am I supposed to find Annie?" I said to myself when a cold breeze brushed through my sink as looked towards my right and saw the window was open.

The voice came from above of my head as I looked up to see a giant chandelier above my head, I walked ahead still looking at the chandelier when---Thud
