The Roots of Love

Chapter 6

The rest of the classes went smoothly for everyone. Jin and Ami were waiting for Tae and Jimin in front of the gate. Soon Tae and Jimin joined them and they started walking towards their home. "The freshers welcome party is in two days. What are you guys planning to wear?" Ami asked to the boys.

"I haven't chosen anything yet. What about you hyung" Tae questioned Jin who was lost in his own thoughts. "Huh,oh that. Actually I also have no idea what to wear" Jin shrugged. "How about we go shopping for the outfits?" Jimin suggested. "That's a nice idea, let's meet tomorrow at 11 then we can go for shopping" Ami chirped. "Okay then it's settled. Tomorrow we are going together" Tae said enthusiasticly.

All of them parted their ways to their home.  Tae reached his home and got inside using the spare key that he has. His mother is a doctor so she works in the Seoul National hospital till night. So it's always him in the house . Sometimes Jimin stays with him to keep him company. Tae freshened up and took out his books to study for sometime as he had nothing else to do. But he couldn't concentrate because his mind was occupied with the thoughts of his professor. He couldn't get him out of his mind. Being frustrated he thought of sleeping for sometime.

It was night time when his mother came back home all tired. "Oh mom you're back. How's your day at the hospital?" Tae inquired giving her a glass of water. "It was the usual. But some patients are very annoying" Mrs.Kim replied gulping down the water. "How was your first day at the uni baby?" Mrs.kim asked Tae. "It was fine. I liked the university" Tae said with a small smile lying his head on his mother's lap. "I'm relieved that you liked it" Mrs.kim said  running her fingers through Tae's hair.

"Let me freshen up then we will have dinner " saying this Mrs.kim got up and went to her room. Tae went towards kitchen and started setting the table. Soon Mrs.kim joined him and they both had their dinner with a little chit chat and went to sleep.

In the middle of the night Tae was sleeping peacefully but suddenly he started sweating badly. "Please-s don't do this. Please I beg-g you. Let me go" Tae was murmuring in his sleep. "Noo" Tae shoot open his eyes yelling and started sobbing loudly. Hearing his screams mrs.kim immediately came to his room and saw him crying. She took him in his arms and started whispering sweet nothings.

"It's okay baby. It was bad dream. You're fine" Tae was crying while hugging his mom. His mother eyes also got teary hearing her son's painful sobs. She felt helpless because she couldn't do anything to help her son. Soon Tae's cries turn into sniffles and he detached himself from his mother. "Go back to sleep. I'm here with you" mrs.kim said wiping Tae's tears. Tae went back to sleep hugging his mother while his mother pat his head humming.

The next day Tae woke up with a heavy headache. It was always like this whenever he would have a nightmare he would get headaches. Sighing Tae got up from bed and did his morning routine. He went downstairs and greeted his mom. "Good morning mom". "Good morning son. Here's your breakfast and medicine for your headache" mrs.kim handed Tae his breakfast and medicine.

After breakfast he got ready to go mall with his friends. "Mom I'm going to the mall with the others for shopping" Tae informed his mother. "Okay have fun and take care of yourself. I love you my baby" mrs.kim said pecking Tae's forehead. "I'll mom. I love you too. Bye" saying Tae went out.

Tae met with Jimin,Jin and Ami outside the mall and they went in together for shopping. They choose their outfits for the party and were having lunch in a nearby restaurant. "I'm excited for the party. You know we will get to meet new people " Jin said dreamily. "Just say that you want to see your crush that's why you're getting hyped up" Tae said with a smirk. Hearing this Jin blushed a little. "By looking at you I can say that what Tae said was right hyung " Jimin remarked which made Ami snicker. "Yah stop it you both. So what I want to make a good impression on him " Jin said rolling his eyes. "Yeah yeah we know " Tae snickerd. "Okay it's enough let's go otherwise mom will scold me. She is going to USA for few days and she wanted to spend some time with me" Ami said gaining all of their attention. " Alright then let's go. We will meet again at the uni for the party" Tae said getting up along with the others. All of them paid the bills and left for home.
