The Roots of Love

Chapter 21

Upon reaching the camping spot all of them were refreshed and energetic. It was a beautiful forest area which made them excited. But Tae's mood was still the same which made his friends to sigh sadly.

All the students gathered together in front of the teachers "Kids we are going to stay here for 5 days. In these days we are going to have different kinds of activities to make the camping for fun. So form your groups and set up your tents. You will perform your activities with your group members. If you have any difficulty take help from the teachers" their principal instructed them so they formed their groups and started setting up  tents to stay.

Jin, Jimin, Ami and Tae were in a group so they decided to set two tents for staying.

"Guy's let's set our tents first" Jin advised and they started setting up their tents. After 20 minutes they were done and were roaming around the camp. "

Wahh this place is so beautiful" Ami gasped looking at the beauty of the forest with Jin and Jimin while Tae just followed them like a lost puppy. He was thinking about jimin's words and his own feeling.

The was he feel when he looks at Jungkook or the way his heartbeat rise when he thinks about him , the way he felt jealous when he saw Sana being close with Jungkook and the hurt he felt when Jungkook geld Sana's held. All this thoughts were messing up his mind.

"Tae are you listening to what I am saying" Jin  nudged Tae breaking his chain of thoughts. "Huh yeah I'm listening" Tae tried to smile but none of the trio was convinced as they knew the reason.

Jimin was going to say something but Tae beat him "I'm feeling tired I'm gonna go get some rest" Tae went away from there without even waiting for their answer. "Leave him alone for sometime we will talk to him when he gets a little calm" Ami spoke and the others agreed.

Tae didn't go back to his tent instead he went to the backside. He sat on the riverbank dipping his feet's in the water enjoying the calmness of the nature.

But his peace was short lived when he felt a presence beside him. He looked at his right and saw Jungkook sitting there looking ahead. The previous incident flowed in his mind and he became irritated

"What are you doing here professor?"

"Just came to enjoy the nature " Jungkook said still looking ahead and Tae also looked ahead scooting a little far to make distance between him and Jungkook which Jungkook clearly noticed.

He didn't liked the distance between them. "Are you upset about anything Tae? I saw you looked dull and gloomy" Jungkook softly asked staring at Tae's side profile.

Tae felt tingles hearing the nickname from Jungkook's mouth and the concern in his voice but didn't let it effect him.

"Even if I'm upset about anything why does it matter to you?" He retorted back in a little harsh tone. "Of course it matters to me because I don't like seeing you like this. I like to see you giggling and glowing " Jungkook held Tae's hand.

Tae went stiff at his touch and tried to pull back his hand but Jungkook held it a little tightly so he couldn't pull back. Frustrated he looked at Jungkook and half yelled "Why are you here and why do you care about me go back to professor Sana " Taehyung didn't know why but he couldn't hold back and said what came in his mouth.

"Why would I go to professor Sana?" Jungkook got confused listening to this.

"Because you like her" Tae grumbled. Jungkook got and idea what it all was about so to confirm his doubts he asked "And why do you think I like her?"

"Because I saw you holding her hands " Tae pouted sadly thinking about the time Jungkook held Sana's hand. Now Jungkook understood why Tae was glaring at him this thought made him chuckled.

Hearing this Tae looked up to see Jungkook smiling "Why are you smiling?" Taehyung sulkily asked making Jungkook coo at him internally. "Because you misunderstood the whole situation silly. I don't like Professor Sana heck I don't even standing near her"

"Then why were you holding her hands" Tae asked with his puppy eyes. Jungkook for a moment got lost in his eyes but came back to his senses at Tae's call "Professor "

"She was going to lay her hands on me so to stop her I held her hands and yanked it" Jungkook cleared the misunderstanding. Tae felt like some burden was left up from him and he mentally facepalmed at his own dumbness.

"Were you upset because of this" Tae became nervous because it was true. "No why would I be upset about it" Tae turned ahead to avoid Jungkook gaze Jungkook hummed deciding not to question further. He was still holding Tae's hand so he started caressing his hand.

They sat there in silence for a long time. Tae didn't comment on how Jungkook was holding and caressing his hand. In fact he really liked the feeling of holding Jungkook's hand. So he just let him hold his hand

"Let's head back it's getting late and windy. You'll catch cold " Jungkook spoke breaking the peaceful silence and stood up holding Tae's hand.  Taehyung hummed nodding his and stood up following Jungkook.

Before Tae could take his hand back Jungkook pulled him towards himself by his hand and pecked his forehead softly. Taehyung's breath hitched at that pink hue started spreading on his cheeks.

"Take care of yourself and never be sad. If anything is troubling you talk to your friends, hyung or me. Don't keep it to yourself and stress " Jungkook was caressing Tae's cheeks by his knuckles.

Tae was looking at him with wide puppy eyes and red cheeks he was feeling tingling sensation in his body by the way Jungkook was holding and looking at  him.

Jungkook saw how Tae was looking at and it made him happy knowing the effect he had on Tae.

"Let's go" Jungkook backed away from him and started walking. Tae also came back to his senses and patted his cheeks to get rid of the redness.

Tae came back to his tent to see his friends gossiping "What are guy's talking about" he asked smiling settling down beside Ami. "Where were you we were getting worried " Jin spoke.

"I was sitting beside the river to get some fresh air" others nodded at that and saw that he was smiling and was in a good mood. So they decided to talk to him about their thoughts

"Tae we want to talk to you about something " Tae looked at Jin and saw him and others were having a serious look. "Tell me hyung what do you want to talk about" Jin , Jimin Ami looked at each other and nodded.
