The Roots of Love

Chapter 15

Finishing rest of the classes the group of four were walking through the corridor when Ami remembered that she had to return a book that she had borrowed from the library. "Guy's you all go ahead. I need to return some books" she said motioning others to go. "Fine we'll be waiting for you in the entrance" Jin said going ahead with the best friends duo.

Ami took a turn and went straight to the library. Returning the book Ami was going back to the boys when someone hold her wrist and pulled her into an empty classroom. Ami tried to scream but couldn't because of the rough hand that was on her mouth refraining her to let any kind of noise.

"Ssshh calm down will you" that person said. Hearing the voice Ami stopped struggling and looked up at the person at whose embrace she was and her eyes widened in shock when she recognized him. Seeing Ami still and not wriggling anymore the man let go of her mouth. "Professor Jung" Ami whispered as soon as she felt her mouth was free.

"Yes babygirl it's me" Hobi said still holding her wrist. "Wha-what are you doing?" Ami was fully confused by this action of Hobi's. "You know I happen to eavesdrop a little confession of yours to your friends " Hobi replied with a smug smile. First Ami was confused but soon it clicked in her mind and she gasped.

"I-i yo-you I mean " Ami couldn't form any sentence. Her cheeks were red like a tomato. Seeing this Hobi chuckled. "Relax now answer my question. Do you like me?" Hobi asked holding Ami chin making her look directly in his eyes. "No" Ami said hearing which Hobi felt his breath stuck and tears from in his eyes.

But as Ami continued he realized a breath of relief"I don't like you because I love you. " Hobi couldn't stop himself so he gently cupped Ami's face and softly kissed Ami. "I love you too " breaking the kiss Hobi said. "You do " Ami was surprised. "Yes I do since the moment I laid my eyes on you" Hobi grinned. Hearing this Ami squeaked and hide her face in Hobi's chest making him laugh.

They were in their own little world that they didn't notice the presence of the person looking at them with dropped jaw and wide eyes.

When Ami was taking too long to come back Tae ,Jin and Jimin became worried so Tae came back to check on her but didn't expect to be a witness of their confession. He literally got frozen on his spot but came back due to the sudden voice which came from behind him.

"What are you doing here kid?" Tae jumped a little at the sudden interruption and looked back to again flinch a little when he saw Jungkook looking at him with an intense gaze. "Pro..professor I was ju...just " "What's wrong with you? Why are you always stuttering?" Jungkook asked making fumble.

He doesn't know why but he was feeling nervous at the intense gaze of his professor. "I just came here to look for my friend" Tae said in a low voice bitting his lips which took Jungkook's attention towards his lips.

Jungkook kept looking at Tae's lips unblinking which definitely didn't help Tae's situation. He felt flustered at the was Jungkook was looking at him.

"Professor " Jungkook came back to his senses hearing the little squeak from taehyung. He cleared his throat and looked away. That's when his eyes fell in Hobi ans Ami who were still embracing each other.

"Hobi hyung what are you doing here?" Jungkook asked bringing Hobi and Ami back from their fantasy kingdom. Hobi and Ami looked at the way of the voice and they immediately stopped hugging seeing Jungkook's motionless face and taehyung's teasing smile.

"Why did you interrupt them? They were having the best moment of their life right Ami and professor Jung?" Taehyung teased wriggling his eyebrows making Hobi and Ami red in embarrassment.

"I-we umm we were just" taehyung cut Hobi "What hyung I can't understand anything". He was having fun teasing the duo. Jungkook was just watching the drama without any emotion but if anyone looked carefully he could see the teardrop that gathered in his eyes.

Ami whined hearing the teasing of taehyung and taehyung grinned more while Hobi just scratched the back of his head not knowing what to say. "Hobi hyung I need to talk to you. Please come to my cabin " saying Jungkook left without waiting for any answers.

"What's wrong with him now ? Is he fine?" Tae thought looking at the way Jungkook went. "Give me your number and go back home. I'll call you later" hobi said to Ami. She nodded and gave her number.

When Hobi left taehyung again shifted his attention to Ami and seeing the look on Tae's face Ami knew she was doomed because the moment they both reach to Jin and Jimin Tae spilled everything to them in detail which lead to teasing Ami heavily making her red and flustered.

But the cabin Jungkook was pacing back and forth when Hobi entered. "What's wrong kook? Is everything okay? Why do seem so worried?" Hobi asked worriedly. It was the first time he was seeing Jungkook worried so naturally he also panicked. "Hyung are you in a relationship with Ami?" Jungkook asked staring at Hobi.

Hobi was confused at the sudden question but nonetheless replied "Yes Kook we just confessed to each other when you and Tae saw us hugging". There was a bright smile on Hobi's face which somehow calmed Jungkook's messed up mind. But he still wanted to make sure something.

"Are you sure hyung that you love each other?" Hearing this Hobi frowned.

"What are you saying Kook. Of course I love her and seeing the was she reacted I'm sure she also loves me and she confessed herself that she loved me".

"Don't take me wrong hyung. It's just I'm worried about you. You know it hasn't been long that you guys met and you know loving each other in such a small amount of time" Jungkook voiced out the thoughts that were swirling in his mind like a tornado.

Hobi smiled the worried gesture of the other. He understood what he was trying to imply and that he was just worried for him.

"I understand what you're trying to say Jungkook. But I'm sure of my feeling. You know when I see Ami smiling I feel so calm. When I hear her voice it feels like music in my ears. I can keep looking at her face for a lifetime. It doesn't matter if we know each other for a short amount of time. It's the feeling that matters. And I'm sure that I love her with my all. I want her to be beside me. I want to be with her in every circumstances of my life. I want to share my happiness with her and  cry on her shoulder when everything feels suffocating. I want to make her feel loved and happy. Stay with her in every ups and downs and never let her go. I want to be her safe place where she can find peace" Hobi said with a soft smile and Jungkook also smiled a little hearing this.

Now he was convinced. So he went to Hobi and hugged him who gladly returned the hug with moist eyes. " I wish you always stay happy with your loved ones" Jungkook whispered closing his eyes when he felt Hobi's brotherly affection.
