The Roots of Love

Chapter 13

Tae was crying nonstop clinging on Jungkook. Jungkook kept him in his embrace and was trying to calm him down. It would be a lie if said Jungkook's heart didn't ache seeing Tae like this. He was getting anxious. "Babybear it's alright. You're safe. Nobody's going to take you away" Jungkook muttered softly caressing Tae's back. He didn't notice the nickname that slipped passed his mouth.

After half an hour Tae's sobbing turned into sniffles and he calmed down a bit. But still he didn't back off from the hug as he was feeling warm and safe in Jungkook's arms. Instead he snuggled more into his embrace finding comfort.

Soon he again fall asleep in Jungkook's embrace who was looking at him with soft eyes. Jungkook kept looking at the peaceful teas stained face of the younger. He took in the soft features ot the other tracing the moles on his face with his finger tips softly wiping the tears. Caressing Tae's cheeks he whispered "What is it that it's bothering you so much? What are you hiding? What are you so scared of."

He was seeing Tae like this for the first time and he was getting worried for him. "Why am I so worried for you?" He gently lay Tae down on the bed and tried to get up but couldn't because Tae was still holding him tightly even in his sleep.

He again tried to slip from the tight grip but failed. Having no other choice he simply laid beside Tae while Tae snuggled in his chest seeking his warmth. Jungkook was feeling very strange right now but he couldn't understand what he was feeling. He was liking the feeling of having Tae so close to him cuddled in his arms.

Soon he also drifted to sleep holding Tae close to him. Morning came by with birds chirping. The sunrays fall on the sleeping figures making them groan. Tae slowly opened his eyes and squinted them adjusting to the light. He was confused seeing the unknown surrounding of the room.

Tae tried to get up but a strong grip oh his waist didn't let him get up. He looked up and got shocked to see the sleeping face of Jungkook who was sleeping with a slightly parted lips. His soft breath was hitting Tae's lips rising goosebumps in Tae's body.

Tae observed the facial features of Jungkook. He looked to calm in his sleep. His eyes got struck on the mole below Jungkook's lips. "How can you look like an adorable bunny in your sleep while being a total devil in your consciousness" he softly murmured while his hands unconsciously went to caress his cheekbones.

"So you think I'm a devil huh" Jungkook rasped opening his eyes staring directly at Tae who flinched and his eyes widened. "Uh-hh n-no professor y-you" Tae tried to form a sentence but couldn't. "What cat got your tongue" Jungkook hushed with a lazy smirk forming on his lips.

Tae blushed a little and wriggle trying to get out of Jungkook's grip. He tried to roll on the other side but he didn't realized that he was on the edge and he fall down with a thud. "Ouch" taehyung winced. Seeing taehyung like this Jungkook couldn't hold himself and he started laughing out loud and taehyung for a while got mesmerized by the beautiful bunny smile but then pouted.

"Stop laughing like an idiot " Tae huffed getting up from the floor massaging his back. Taehyung then realized where he is so he asked "what am I doing here and how did I get here?" " You had a panic attack yesterday on the road and fainted there. So I brought you here. This is my apartment " Jungkook said getting up from bed.

"But why did you had a panic attack all of a sudden?" Jungkook asked. As soon as Tae heard the question he became stiff. Seeing Tae like this Jungkook became confused and waved his hand in front of him.

Tae came back to his senses and cleared his throat "N-nothing" Tae said. 'Even if I tell you the reason you wouldn't believe me' Tae thought. Jungkook was again going to ask about last night but taehyung cut him off.

"We are getting late. Let's freshen up and get ready". Jungkook understood that he didn't wanted to talk about it so he let the matter slide and nodded. "Oh fuck" taehyung suddenly screamed panicking.

"What happened" Jungkook asked. "I didn't go back home last night. Jonnie hyung must be worried about me" replied taehyung. "Calm down will you. We are going to the university so you can inform him there" Jungkook sighed. "Hmmm let's get going " saying taehyung went to bathroom.

While Jungkook got ready in the other room. After getting ready they both got down and had some cereal for breakfast. Then they both went to uni by Jungkook's car.

When they reached uni Tae was the first one to get out. He first thanked Jungkook for taking care of him and dropping him then bid bye to him and skipped towards his classroom.

After Tae left Jungkook parked his car and went to his office since they came pretty early so he had some time before his lecture. But the person whom he came face to face upon reaching his office was not pleasant for him. He felt anger rising in him seeing the person who was sitting on the chair in front of his desk. He took a deep breath to calm the raging anger in him and walked inside.

The person sitting inside sensed someones presence and glance at the side to see Jungkook walking to his chair. The person straighten up.

Jungkook sat on his chair and asked the person "What are you doing in my office Mina".His eyes boring holes in the girl sitting in front of him. "I have been sending you texts since a week. I've even tried to call you but you neither answered my texts nor my calls.  So I personally came here to meet you" the girl named Mina replied while her eyes hold a heated gaze.

"I've made myself clear that I don't want to have any kind of contact with you after the stunt you pulled on me" Jungkook said in a dangerously low voice which scared the girl. "leave this instant if you don't want me to put legal charges on you".

"Jungkook at least listen to" Mina tried to say something but Jungkook slammed his fist on the table shutting the girl. "I don't want to hear any of the nonsense you want to spout. LEAVE RIGHT NOW" Jungkook shouted.

The girl instantly left from there knowing it wouldn't be good if she stayed there. Jungkook sighed massaging his temples. Mina always got on his nerves. She liked Jungkook since their university time when they were classmates but Jungkook never saw her in that way and made it clear to her.

But she was obsessed with him to that level that she even drugged Jungkook to sleep with him. Luckily that time Yoongi saved him. Since she was his good friend he didn't take any legal actions but the girl kept on pestering him.
