"Naruto, will you stop for a second!" Haku's voice echoed as he hurried to catch up with Naruto.

Frustration simmered beneath Naruto's skin as he continued to march forward. "Can you believe that?" he huff. "How could Luffy not fight Arlong?" He threw his hands up in frustration. "This place needs help, and they won't do anything?"

Then, as if a switch had been flipped, Naruto came to a stop."Fine! If they don't do anything, then I will!" His words rang out with unwavering conviction as he turned to face Haku. "Change of plans! Once we kick that Marine captain's ass, we're going straight to that long-nosed fish bastard and kicking his too!" His eyes blazed with fiery determination.

Haku placed a calming hand on Naruto's shoulder. "Naruto, just calm down for a second," he urged softly, his voice a soothing balm to Naruto's frayed nerves.

Naruto's gaze dropped to the ground. "I don't know what's going on anymore," he admitted, his voice laced with a hint of vulnerability. "I thought we were the type of pirates who help. Not sit around and wait for something to happen."

"It's okay, Naruto," Haku reassured him. "Let's just focus on the Marine captain for now."

Naruto nodded, although he was still unsure of what's going to happen.

"We have to go to my house," Haku said, breaking the momentary silence. I need to grab something, and then we can head to the port."

"Lead the way," Naruto said as he followed Haku. His mind buzzed with a whirlwind of conflicting emotions and newfound determination.

...

Arriving at Haku's house, Naruto followed closely behind as Haku unlocked the door and led him inside. He never noticed how cozy the interior was. It reminded him of The Going Merry. It reminded him of home.

"I'll be quick," Haku assured Naruto, disappearing into another room.

Left alone with his thoughts, Naruto took a moment to collect himself, his mind still swirling with questions and uncertainties. He paced back and forth, the weight of responsibility pressing down on his shoulders with each step.

Minutes passed before Haku emerged from the room, his face determined. He held a porcine mask with the hidden mist symbol carved on the front.

"An anbu mask?" Naruto tilted his head with confusion.

"If we are going to fight the Marines, then I don't want them to know what I look like. I don't want my family to go through any more pain." Haku explains.

Naruto gave him a smile. "Thank you, Haku," he said sincerely, his gaze meeting Haku's with unwavering determination. "I won't let you down."

With the mask on, Naruto and Haku made their way to the port, their steps purposeful and resolute.
