Naruto had dreamed of attending the academy for as long as he could remember. He imagined himself as a student and making friends. Naruto would always sit on the swing just outside the gates and watch the older kids and parents come in and out with the shinobi headband.

Now Naruto is standing in front of the door of the classroom the old man told him to be in, and he couldn't help but be nervous. Standing in front of the door to his classroom, Naruto's excitement was momentarily overshadowed by a surge of nervousness. His heart pounded in his chest with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. He took a deep breath to try and calm his nerves, and he reached out and opened the door.

When he did, he noticed a pink-haired girl in one of the seats and the boy who had run into him earlier that day. Naruto's eyes widened. "You!" Naruto exclaimed, pointing directly at the boy.

The boy's eyes widened slightly. "You've got to be kidding," he muttered. "What are you doing here, loser?"

Naruto bristled at the insult and crossed his arms defiantly. "I don't have to tell you anything, duck butt!" he retorted.

The pink-haired girl, watching the exchange with interest, turned to the boy. "Who is this guy, Sasuke-kun?" she asked, her curiosity evident.

"A nobody," Sasuke replied dismissively, gazing out the window.

Naruto's face reddened with anger. "Who are you calling a nobody, duck butt?" he shouted, his fists clenched at his sides.

"Hn," Sasuke grunted nonchalantly.

Naruto fumed, his fists clenched in frustration, but before he could punch the guy, the classroom door opened again, and he couldn't help but smile at the sight of the familiar figure.

"Kakashi-Sensei!" he yelled, running over with enthusiasm. "What are you doing here? Does this mean you're my new sensei?"

Kakashi smiled beneath his mask, his one visible eye crinkling with amusement. "It seems so, Naruto," he replied. He then turned his attention to his two students. "Meeting on the roof! I have some news," he announced, and with a swirl of leaves, he vanished, leaving the students in awe.

"I've gotta learn that," Naruto said, staring at the spot where Kakashi had just been. He shrugged it off and began heading to the roof, his excitement mounting.

"Hey, wait!" the pink-haired girl called out, jogging to catch up with him.

Naruto turned around, his expression curious.

"Thank you," the girl huffed, catching her breath.

"No problem," Naruto replied with a grin.

"I'm Sakura, by the way," the girl introduced herself, extending a hand.
