In the Demi-human Dimension, the soul people were settling in and helping where they can. Some were helping in Fate Fort, underwater and wherever they can. Nick was passing through the village with Shuri. He saw everyone working together.
Nick: At least everyone is doing alright.
Shuri: They all look happy.
Nick: They should, nothing bad is going on.
Nick and Shuri went to an inn and found a few soul people were there working, one of them Nick knew.
Nick: Hey Ajax.
Ajax is soul person who got the sphinx gene to stabilize them. They are brown fur, light skinned, fair build with wings and sphinx legs.
Ajax: Hey Nick, how are things.
Nick: Good, out on patrol with Shuri, decided to check on things here.
Ajax was carrying seven barrels, one in each of his soul hands and one in his two normal hands.
Ajax: A lot of people passing through, mostly hikers, treasure seekers some of the Fate Team just crashing here after a long misson.
Nick: Anyone we need to worry about?
Ajax: One of the members of the wolf packs are sleeping off burning the midnight oil.
Nick: Hmm, has it been on a regular?
Ajax: For a few days now, it's usually just after midnight they come and crash out.
Nick: Hmm, make sure to tell them to report to the main hall when they wake up.
Ajax: Got it.
Nick: All right, I'm getting back on patrol
Ajax: Need anything.
Nick: I'm good. Let's go Shuri.
Shuri: Bye.
Nick and Shuri left and Ajax got back to moving the barrels. After that, he was cleaning a bar table, they sell drinks, food and supplies. While he was cleaning, a Neko walked in carrying some items.
Neko: Hey Ajax.
Ajax: Hey Hime, how are things?
Hime: Good, brought some things to sell.
Ajax whistled and the Innkeeper came over, they recognized Hime and she got to selling the items she had like herbs and minerals they found while traveling. Once they were all sold, Hime asked for a pint of soda and sat down.
Ajax: How is your exploring going?
Hime: Going great, I know we got the satelites above but going by hand has its own perks.
Hime is with the Fate Team but she is more on the side quest side of the team. She likes action, but not much.
Ajax: Anything we should be worried about?
Hime: Nothing on that front.
Ajax: That's good, some well-deserved peace and quiet.
Hime: Speaking of quiet, what you been up to?
Ajax: Mostly some quiet fishing, relaxing from what we had to go through.
Hime: Yeah, since you told me your story.
Ajax was in the hard debts section and was subjected to the soul material which made him unstable. He got the sphinx gene since he took in a modest amount of it.
Hime: Still going to your power training?
Ajax: Yeah, it has been helping me a lot.
Hime: That's good.
