~Eighty Four~

10 2 2

At the beginning it was nice,
She was happy and so was he.
He gave her everything a girl could dream,
Roses,
Chocolates....
Diamonds.

He had it in his hand,
Already laid out for her.

They thought they'd be happily ever after,
So did everyone around them.

There would be whispers in the hall about how:
"Grossly perfect" they were
Or how,
"They have the same souls."

And when they heard it they couldn't help but grin,
And he'd wrap his arm around her and pull her tight,
Kissing her temple whispering sweet nothings,
And a blush would cover her cheeks,
And she'd shove him in the side,
while leaning in ever slightly closer.
Because that's what they did.

But then something changed.
Suddenly they stopped speaking in the halls,
And they'd never be together.
Like ever.

Suddenly he was skipping classes while she failed hers.

Two broken lovers.

No one knows how it ended, or why.
They just knew that in the end,
the hearts were shattered.
And one turned to cigarettes,
whilst the other tried to find a new guy.

But in the end,
he was smoking 'cause he couldn't have her,
and she was looking for someone to BE him,
because she didn't have him.
Not anymore.
