Y/n

I walk out the car and headed to the main gate to pick up my niece, she came home from Seoul for the weekend. It's Friday evening when she arrived back to Gwangju, I decided to pick her up myself.

She waved her hands up when she finally saw me, I wait for her and spread my arms, she still like a baby to me, even though now she's a teenage girl. I hold her tightly like I wasn't seen her for hundred years, I missed her.

"You tired?"

"I thought I don't have to come home this weekend, but you already sent me a ticket." She said, holding my arm as we walk out the station to the parking lot. She only bring one backpack that it's attached to herself.

"I missed you, also I have something important to discuss with you." She stopped, knowing something serious is about to happen. I smile knowingly.

"About what?"

"Relax, we're just going to meet Ms. Cho," I hold her hand and open the door for her.

"My father's trustee?"

"His godmother, yes,"

"What happened, Peanut? Did I do something wrong?"

"No, we're gonna have to see her to find out." She's get in the car but hesitantly look at me, I smile reassuringly that everything will be fine.

"So, how was aunt Amy?" I ask when the car drove away from the station and headed to Hope Holdings.

"She's good." I look at her body language, look down try to be busy with her phone but I know that she hide something I already know.

"And uncle Kookie?" I call him they she did, and she look at me.

"He's been gone for work, it's been five months, I told you that before."

"Yes, but you didn't tell me about aunt Amy's boyfriend living with you there?"

She sighs, regretting after she lied to me. A few seconds she try to find her own consolidation before speak the truth.

"I'm sorry, I thought you might be surprised if I tell you right away, you just had Daisy and I want you stay focus on your happiness, Peanut." She admit the way I want her.

"But, baby, you're my happiness too, all of you are equal, so don't you ever think that I didn't includes you."

"I won't do that again. Are you angry with me?" She says with her baby voice without willing to.

"No, Irish, I'm just worried. What we've been through is not easy. We mostly meet a bad person, we're just lucky that we survive."

"That's not true, we survived because you're strong, you do anything to protect me, Peanut."

I smile at her and hold her hand, she hold mine and leaning her head as she look at me.

"I tell you what, uncle Choi is really kind. But like you say, I won't take an instant of other people's kindness, I learned how to read the situation to find out if this person have something fishy or not."

"That's good. Because I put more protection on you last week."

"I figured why lady in a black suits always following me. Next time tell her to not too obvious, the security of my school once caught her standing by the gates until he let her in."

I chuckles. "I can relate."

She's telling me more about June she caught her of guard. Lucas says June is strong even though she's a woman.
