Honestly can't remember the last time mi sleep so long.
A crippling headache welcomed me when my eyes slowly open.
Squinting, I sighed.
"Yuh wake", I look next to me to see my sister laying down, "h.....how you feel?".
She sound like her speech impediment start again.
"I don't know" I answer, I rubbed my eyes but they hurt, "haven't slept like this in a good while".
She chuckles, "hmmm".
Why was she soaking wet last night?.
"How did you get here, and soaking wet too?" I ask with my hands over my face.
"Ummm.....I ran"
Removing my hands, I looked at her to see if she was serious.
"You ran?" I asked, making sure I heard her right.
She nodded, "Vinny drove......broke down.....ran".
She a try use less words.
"From where?"
"End of the street"
I sat up to look at her, "Tanoi, the end of the street is a good few minutes walk, let alone a run, you run inna the rain come up here likkle girl?".
She gave me a look, "I was....was...I-".
"Okay okay", I stopped her from straining her voice any more, "thank you".
"Hmm", she fans me off as if it's no big deal.
Can't believe the girl run in the rain, it was so early in the morning too.
I feel bad, that shouldn't have been something she had to do.
"Call Capri" Tanoi instructs before she got off the bed.
Following the instruction, I picked up the phone.
Jhené's phone rang out without any answer, I tried again twice and still nothing.
I texted Jess to ask if she's still at the house with her.
Jessica: I left her sleeping, I'm at work but ask Mona
I tried calling again, this time she answered.
"Sorry I missed your call, I was in the shower" she says before I could tell her good morning.
"Oh, good morning"
"Hello"
"You okay?"
"I don't know, my boyfriend left without an explanation yesterday, he wasn't answering my texts, I don't know if he's okay, so I don't know"
"Jhené", I sighed, "I'm sorry, I just....I wasn't in the right state of mind".
"It's fine", she said it with little to no emotion.
Someone says something to her and she answers him with the same tone.
The fuck.
"Weh yuh deh?" I question almost immediately.
"You don't get to ask me that"
The fuck she mean by that!?.
"Jhené, now ano the time fi yuh be petty, where the fuck are you?"
