"Okay, I'll pick you up at eight then," I say to my girlfriend.

I dropped her off at Trev's house so she could spend the day with Jessica. I haven't seen her all morning, nor have I heard from her.

She called mi a while ago to tell me what she wanted for dinner.

Jhené just a nyam dung the place, mi just know she pregnant but she kept denying it.

I told her I'd give her a week. By the end of this week I'm taking her to see Morrison again.

"Okay, remember to buy the strawberries please," she pleads in a soft and desperate voice.

"I will baby".

"Alright, later"

"Later".

Hanging up the phone, I placed my gun on the table. I watched the dead body being wrapped up and the room getting cleaned by cleanup.

Kyle cleaned the blood from his hands with a wet cloth then looked at me.

"Wahm to her?" he asks concerned.

"Nothing at all, she just a remind mi fi buy strawberries and say she want plantain porridge for dinner, she never wanted porridge for dinner yet since mi know her" I answer throwing myself on top of the table.

Kyle chuckles lightly, "that one specifically too?".

"Bredda, mi know she pregnant and she a deny it, cause Jhené nuh eat strawberries fi fun, and plantain porridge fi dinner, mi usually affi bribe her fi drink porridge fi breakfast".

Anything healthy, mi affi bribe her with something, else she naah go eat it.

A Tuscany alone mi see she eat without complain.

He leans his body against the wall with a smile, "look at you, first yuh report the lady missing, now yuh trap her, you plan this".

"No", I laughed at his skeptical look, "Honestly, never plan anything, she just show up and mi never did want her to leave".

"So yuh trap her".

"Call it whatever you want".

"A dat mi ago call it yes".

"Wahm to you and Abby, when unu a plan fi start a family?".

"We both agreed that once all a this is sorted out, then we can start, we both too busy being up and down with unu, we married already so there is no escaping each other".

"I see, fi dat, mi a make sure mi sort out everything soon".

"Nuh rush yuh self Bro, we have time".

We left the scene before the cleanup finished.

I bought the green plantains and the strawberries for Jhené before going home.

I made sure to start boiling her porridge. Marcia bought groceries over the weekend for us, she took a few weeks off to visit her daughter which was good.

She needed a few weeks off.

Since she refused to stop working, she said she's raising the twins and English's baby as well as mine before she retired.

We can't argue with her anymore.

We accepted it, she's never leaving us and that's something we're accepting and living with.

Two hours went by and I was already finished with the porridge, I had some leftover from yesterday that Marcia brought over for dinner so I'll eat that.
