"Mi naah give her no man, geez" Jess argues with King over the phone.

She begged him to let me go out with her tonight and I'll be back tomorrow; she BEGGED him.

Jess always get her way, but mi never see she beg nobody.

Ever.

She use persuasion alot because she can talk herself in and out of any situation.

But King wasn't buying any of it, she spent at least half an hour begging him to let me go with them.

She was invited to celebrate her friend's birthday, but we will be going to a club as they said.

How yaah go celebrate yuh birthday inside a club.

Like.....

Yeah, yuh can have some fun, but the entire night?.

Mi tell dem we just a stay fi a hour, if I don't like the vibe my man a come get we and we going somewhere else.

Fuck her friend.

Jess agreed.

Mona was at Matt's so she's safe from all this.

It's so strange, Matt was outgoing but Mona wasn't, they fit perfectly in some odd way while it's the same thing with Trev and Jess, he's reserved but she's not, they fit perfectly, opposite attract.

King and I are a mirror of each other's traits, we both get irritated by the other's attitude and actions but we're both too petty to correct each other.

I love him though.

And he loves me.

So I don't care how many times we reflect each other.

"Listen to mi good eno Jessica, cause mi know yuh unruly" King tells her.

I laugh at the bickering they started to have, dem a argue like siblings.

"Babes, be careful for me please" King calls out, "two a unu be careful".

"We will be" I answer followed by Jess humming.

"Alright, later"

"Bye".

We got dressed a little after he hung up and sat waiting on her friend to come and get us.

I've never been acquainted with a lot of Jess' friends, she's such a social butterfly, I always wondered how she remembered every one of them.

They love having her around too because they invited her everywhere.

We're there talking when the lights suddenly go out.

"What the fuck?" Jess questions herself as I turned my flashlight on.

"How this happen?" I ask her, getting up from the couch.

"Mi nuh know, maybe is a power outage or sumn, get two candles"

"Maybe"

I follow her instructions and went to the cupboard to get the candles.

"Watcha" Jess gives out, "everybody else have light".

I looked over to see her by the window, the curtain shifted and she's looking out.

That's weird.

My phone starts ringing in my hand prompting me to look at it, unboxing the candles.
