"I just don't know where I went wrong.." Camryn explained, blotting her tears with tissue while Carson's jaw dropped.

"Camryn it's not—-"

"I saw the way he was acting and the rudeness he was projecting. I didn't do anything to help him.."

"Cam—-"

"And then to find out everything was like my worst nightmare."

"..Cammy." Carson sighed as the mother continued to wipe her face. "Cammy none of this is your fault.. I've been so embarrassed that I let myself get so ... unprofessional."

"He told me you turned him down more than enough but that he didn't take no for an answer.."
That was true..

"I am so sorry that I subjected you to that position and treatment—-"

"I think — it was just all a big misunderstanding..." Carson tried to explain, both of them hadn't handled things in the most mature ways. "I really don't blame him.. and I don't blame you for anything. He let me go and it was probably best for both of us.." Carson swallowed as she said the last part. Her eyes couldn't even meet Camryn's as she said it.
"I hope you can forgive me for any problems I caused." She quickly tried to change the subject. "And I really hope you know how much I appreciated being able to work for you and your family. It's been the best."

Camyrn only shook her head, reaching out to grab hold of Carson's hand that was on the table.

"Carson we love you so much. If you think you'd ever want to, you're always welcome back."

Carson only smile, blinking back tears threatening to spill.

She had always imagined what it would be like if one day she ever parted ways from the Manheim family. She always assumed it would be under different circumstances and that it would never hurt this much.

"I love you too Cammy."

...

Carson sighed as she closed the door, walking back towards her kitchen she decided she could use another cup of tea. She just felt so... lonely and heartbroken..

She lost her favorite job and even though Cammy literally just told her she was welcomed back as an assistant for her.. Which she has been wanting—-She knew it could never work.

He told her himself..

"I can't have you here.. a-and pretend it's okay. I'm so sick and tired of pretending I'm okay."

She couldn't go back working for his mom, knowing it would hurt him..

She wouldn't hurt him anymore.

She would just have to learn how to start over and put herself back together again.

....

"What is your mom doing there!?" Ana gaped, watching her best friend pace back and forth in her childhood bedroom. When he called her saying he was near her house and needed to talk she wasn't expecting him to be such a nervous wreck.

"I don't know and it's freaking me out! She hasn't answered her phone!" Milo bit his nails, his brain was practically overheating thinking of the possible scenarios involving his mother and his——Carson..
She was just Carson.
