"Last time you insisted on rolling your eyes you ended up crying out my name. You know if you wanna be under me again so badly all you have to do is ask nicely Car."
Milo sucked in a sharp breath, his hand instinctively letting go of the door and flying to his stinging cheek. She actually slapped him..
"That night meant absolutely nothing do you understand? I was wasted and you were just the idiot that got lucky with their assistant one time." Carson practically seethed through her teeth, in attempts to get her point across. Suddenly the tall, intimidating teen seem to shrink back with each word. She almost laughed..
"I will be back up here in time for your interview but your better be dressed and ready to go. I'm done with the shit Milo. If you think I won't tell Cammy because I'm scared of losing my job, your wrong."Milo sniffled after she left, he felt the stinging in his eyes but blinked back any kind of evidence. He was not crying. He wouldn't fucking cry over a girl or over what just happened.
He wanted to punch something as he hurried into his bathroom chucking his towel into a ball on the floor before twisting the knob to warm up the water. His fingers flexed, his fists itching to slam into something. What the fuck?!
No matter how hard he tried to calm down he couldn't shake the feeling. He was fucking pissed.~~~
"I'm going to get fired.." Carson groaned, running her fingers through her thick hair. She thumped her head against her desk. Why was she so stupid?
She literally just slapped her client, well technically he was her boss.."Relax the little brat had it coming, he won't tell Cammy and even if he does I doubt she'll care. She's been chewing his ass out everyday lately." Has she? I guess I haven't been paying attention ..
Carson chewed on her lip, she wished she could tell Liz and Cammy the full truth. She fucked up."If your so worried, just—like go apologize to him."
"Right.." Carson rolled her eyes, checking her watch it was just a little over 30 minutes before the interview. He most likely was ready and finished his breakfast, probably sulking in the corner of his room over being slapped. As Carson approached the familiar bedroom she heard cussing, things slamming. She awkwardly took a step back, maybe now wasn't the right time?
The sound of glass shattering made her jump.
God damn it.Opening the door she was surprised to see Milo's room in complete disarray. It looked like a hurricane hit it. Milo was holding his hand a look of distress on his face until he looked up and saw her. His whole face paling before he practically sent daggers her way.
"Carson get the fuck—-Ow! What are you doing?!" He groaned in pain, she continued to ignore him as she led him over to his bed. His injured hand in hers, using her nails she carefully pulled out the glass in his hand.
Milo released a shaky breath as the glass left his skin. She helped him?"I came up here to apologize but I think this makes us even." She mumbled before getting up and leading him towards bathroom. The kid was accident prone but she knew this wasn't typical behavior. Luckily he still had a first aid kit underneath his sink.
"Run warm water over it, it doesn't look too deep so at least you won't need stitches.. Fuck we have to figure out what to tell people if they ask during the interview.." Milo stayed silent, listening to his assistant ramble on about his hand. He watched her as she carefully dried his palm off before rubbing some cream on it. Her hands worked carefully to wrap it up.
"How does it feel?" He lifted it up, but his eyes flickered down catching hers. She had been staring intently at his hand and his face waiting for an answer.
Using his good hand he cupped her jaw quickly closing the gap between them. His mouth captured hers in a heated kiss.
It felt as if her brain short circuited or maybe everything just felt like it was moving that slow. She gasped into his mouth, he used it as an opportunity to bite down on her bottom lip. His tongue slowly gliding over the tender area. Her hands finally found his chest, her palms shoving him off her. Carson stared up at Milo at a loss for words. Both of them slightly panting from the feverish kiss.
"..Now we're even."~~~
"Yeah we're going to be someday.." Carson bit her bottom lip as she sat behind her own laptop on Milo's bed. He sang out the last lyric softly, the duet between him and Meg via Zoom now over. The interviewer went along asking questions and trying to do some fun segments with the two teens. Carson had one AirPod in and Milo had the other so they could both hear the questions clearly.
"Milo are you currently dating anyone?" Milo laughed before nervously looking up at his assistant over his laptop. Carson sighed.
"Skip and strike question from interview." She called out, rolling her eyes as the next question was asked. For some reason he had been so weird about what questions he could be asked or what he was willing to answer. That was her job though, taking care of him.
Carson continued to coach him through the interview here and there with hand signals or facial expressions. They had gotten so use to working together that Milo understood what she meant even if it was just an eye roll.Milo shut his laptop after saying bye to Meg, he awkwardly took the AirPod that his assistant was handing back to him before he chewed his bottom lip. Why hasn't she said anything about the kiss?
"Would you rather eat now or knock out some of those Disney promos and call it a day?" She just wants to get the hell out of here and away from you...
"Um y-yeah we can just film the rest of them and then you can go home early for the day." Carson paused for a moment as she stared at him in shock. He rarely let her go home early.
"Alright let's get going."Milo exhaled a heavy breath in relief as they finished up the last of his promos. Stretching his arms over his head he watched as his assistant started to disassemble his backdrop, he subtly checked her out.
"I'll put it away Car, I know you want to leave." Carson straightened her back, seeing his usual moody eyes staring at her.
"Are you sure you don't need anything else?" She reluctantly asked knowing she was only going to get the run around.
"Nope." He popped the P obnoxiously, his eyes slightly rolling.
"Alright then—"
"—Are you going to keep pretending nothing happened?" Carson's hand was on the door, mentally slapping herself for not leaving the minute he told her she could.
"Nothing did happened Milo." The feeling of warm breath on her neck made her shiver. The heat from his body practically radiating off of him and she was smothered in his strong cologne.
"But it did." She shook the feeling as another shiver tried to make its way down her spine. Her body responding to her stomach flipping with anticipation.
Games, he was playing mind games."I'm leaving Milo."
"No ones stopping you.." Carson looked up at the door realizing he was right, he wasn't caging her in like before. Carefully she craned her neck around, swallowing hard as her eyes met his. His face was void of any actual emotion.
"I'll see you tomorrow."Carson didn't breathe until she was out of the Manheim residence, almost gasping in relief. The air around her feeling so much lighter again. Shaking her head she made her way to her car. Her chest felt heavy with anxiety, Milo hadn't made a move like that since his birthday. Originally she had brushed it off as they were drunk and it was a huge mistake for both of them. That it would never happen again.
Then a couple nights ago he got drunk and showed up at her place, but didn't do anything until he kissed her today when he was sober..
Mind games.
Whatever it was it needed to stop.
