When The Curtain Falls

Prologue

"Sumama kana kasi!" I was very hesitant to go with them lalo na sa lugar na yon.

" Ciena, I just came home. Can you give me a month to process things? Thea, can you help me out here?" Kakabalik ko lang from the States, they are forcing me to go to Euphoria.

"Bahala kayo dyan!" Thea said "Pero Ciara, if you really moved on, sumama kana samin. Hindi mo ba miss ang dati mong tahanan?" They are clearly gaslighting me to come. 

Pero hindi ko nga ba namimiss na pumunta ron? Eh dati lang naman ay onting may mangyari sa'kin ay don agad ang punta ko. Ngunit, iba na rin naman kasi ngayon, iba na kami ngayon.

"Fine! I'll go. Pero, please give me a favor, ayokong maging awkward around those Queens." Ayokong maging center of attention don.

I finished unpacking my stuff then we went to Euphoria Cafe & Bar. The moment that I saw the signage of the bar that used to be my home, everything felt like what it felt before, except the heavy heart. Nandito kaya siya? Naka set kaya siya?

"All cast ba sila?" It's Sunday so obvious naman siguro.

"Si Elara lang wala." A sigh of relief came out of me.

"Tara?" Once we entered the bar, the loud music, mga ilaw na nakakahilo, and the crowd, I missed this.

"CIARA?!" A familiar voice came from behind.

"Raign?! Omg!" Raign hugged me and my friends found our table while me and Raign go outside.

"Kumusta kana? Shit mukhang bigatin kana ah! You look expensive." Usual Raign, yosi yosi lang ganon.

"Okay naman te! Kakabalik ko lang from States. Dito agad ako dinala nila Ciena." He keeps on greeting other costumers na nakikita niya.

"Expensive nga! Alam mo, namiss ka namin dito! All of us. Shuta ka kasi bigla kang nawala! Even socials mo nawala. Nowhere to be found ka bakla!" It's true, I left without saying goodbye to these Queens. I owe them an apology.

"Sorry ah, wala akong lakas ng loob na humarap sainyo that time. Akala ko kasi di na ko babalik, akala ko di ko na kayo makikita uli." Paliwanag ko naman.

"Nakita mo na ba siya?" I know who's he talking about.

"Hindi pa. But I heard nasa Drag Race na siya ah? I think she deserves it all." Halos lahat na ata sila may mga pangalan na.

"Yes! Napaka galing niya! Sabi sa'yo eh, magaling ang kapatid ko." We had a little more chitchat at nag aya na rin siya pumasok at mag sisimula na sila.

Nang mag simula sila ay madami akong bagong mukha na nasilayan, pero ang mga OG ay nandito pa rin. It was nice watching them perform again in this stage.

But there she is the Queen that I left many years ago.
