Currently the Malhotra men were checking last moment arrangements while the ladies were talking to each other
"Sorry, I'm late" Riya, Arav's fiancé said as she quickly gave a hug to Khushi and Akshu and touched dadi and Shreya's feet
"Riya, kaisi ho" Dadu asked
"Main thik hun Dadu, aap kaise ho?" Riya asked smiling at him
"Hum toh young and handsome" Dadu said raising his invisible collars
"Is umar mein jooth bolna aapko shobha nahi deta" Dadi replied sassily while everyone laughed
"Riyuuuu" Arav ran towards her with open arms but was pulled back by his collar and wondering who did that? Ofcourse our Manik, how can he let his little brother be happy when every single time he spoils his and his Akshu's moments?
Manik smirked and said "chale late ho raha hai, Arav"
Arav stomped his feet and moved forward towards the bus, Akshu hit Manik's arm lightly making him turn towards her
"Kya hai?" She asked
"Kya 'kya hai'?" He asked confused
"Kyun pareshan kar rahe ho us bechare ko?" She asked
"Bechara? Kon? Arav? Seriously? Tum usse bechara keh rahi ho? Humesha 'kebab mein haddi' bana rehta hai" Manik said remembering every incident where Arav has spoiled his romantic moments
"Akshu, Manik, aajao, kitni baate karoge" they turned to see Khushi calling them, so they went to the bus and the journey started
"Akshu-"
"I mean bhabhi, ek gaana gao na" Arav said
"Han gao na" everyone insisted but Akshu looked hesitated and it was noticed by both Veer and Manik, Veer looked at Manik and then at others
"Arey, sirf Akshu kyun, main gaunga gaana" Veer said surprising everyone, probably because he is the most introverted among them but they didn't think about it further because they knew he treats Akshu like his sister or more like a kid
"Gaana? Wo bhi aap gaoge? Rehne do" Khushi said teasingly
"Oh hello, Mrs Malhotra, challenge mat karo" Veer said
"Aur agar challenge kiya toh?" Khushi asked challengingly
"Toh challenge manzoor hai, madam" Veer said and started singing 'zindagi milke bitayenge'
Everyone started enjoying but what they didn't notice was Akshu's eyes tearing up
Manik who was sitting beside her saw it and quickly hugged her
"Akshu, shh, kya hua baba?" He started whispering sweet things to her and Akshu calmed down
"Manik" Akshu whispered
"Hm"
"Thank you"
"Don't thank me"
