CHAPTER-7

5 months later

In this five months many things changed, the family witnessed a new and changed Manik who would come early from work and who would always look for Akshu and who is totally whipped for her and also they got to know that Khushi is pregnant. Everyone is taking good care of her while Veer is overprotective for her and their baby. Everyone's excited for welcoming the little member

Present

"Khushi" Veer shouted searching for her

Khushi, who was trying to take ice cream from the refrigerator stopped and face palmed

"Ye na hume chain se jeene nahi denge" Khushi thought and looked around trying to find a place to hide herself

"Khush-" Veer entered the kitchen and looked at the dupatta's edge on the floor which was visible through the wall, Khushi was hiding behind it

"Khushi" Veer smiled a little

"I saw you" he said

"Veer jii" she whined coming out

"Itni raat ko yahan kya kar rahi ho" he asked trying to hide his smile, ofcourse he knew why she was here

"Hume ice cream khaani thi, hume pata hai aap gussa karenge par kya kare, Akshu ne humse kaha tha ki jab bhi wo aaye, wo humare saath ice cream party karegi, par 1 hafta ho gaya aur hum use bohot miss kar rahe hai, uske bina bilkul bhi man nahi lag raha, isliye uski yaad mein ice cream khaane aagaye, par aap aa gaye" she said sadly

"Khushi, we all miss her, accha chalo, ek-ek ice cream khaate hai" Veer said because he too miss her

"Ice cream, mere bina?" Arav asked entering the kitchen

"Arav, aao na, tum bhi khao, hum na Akshu ko miss kar rahe the" Khushi said pouting sadly

"I miss her too, bhabhi" he said

It was true, everyone missed her, actually she went to Singhania Sadan because choti nani wasn't well and she went there to take care of her, even though the Malhotras were unhappy with her going for few days but they knew she had to go, they were very sad since a week, Manik would get mad at small things because she wasn't there, he made a fuss about how he doesn't have a problem with her going to her house but he would pick her up in evening when he's returning from office and then would drop her in morning but Shreya made him understand although she was sad about her favourite child going too

"Accha, don't be sad now, Akshu won't be happy seeing you guys sad, ab chalo, let's eat ice cream, but Khushi sirf ek han" Veer said and Khushi nodded happily

Morning

"Just do the damn work, I don't pay you to..." Manik was shouting on a phone call, while Raj and Shreya sighed looking at him, they just wished that Akshu comes soon otherwise their son will surely kill a person or two

"Manik, breakfast kar le" Shreya said

"Mom, main baad mein kar lunga, aap kar lijiye, mujhe office jaana hai" he said softly, ofcourse, he won't shout on his mom

"Maa" they heard Akshu, Manik immediately looked around trying to find her

"Bhai, Akshu video call pe hai" Arav said showing his phone

"Akshu" Shreya smiled taking the phone

"Maa, Papa, kaise ho aap dono"

"Hum thik hai beta bas tumhe bohot miss kar rahe hai" Raj said

"Main bhi aap logon ko bohot miss kar rahi hun" said Akshu

"Toh aajao na" Arav whined

"Aajaungi, par Maa, aap na bina breakfast kiye mat bhejna kisi ko" she said narrowing her eyes at Manik who stood there silently
