CHAPTER-8

Manik burried his face in Akshita's neck, her face turned red due to their proximity, he looked at her face and smirked, her face would be red like a tomato every time they are close, she would blush as if it's their first time looking at each other, talking to each other or so

She looked cute with the red face, and what he loved the most was that he was the reason for her red face

"Manik, leave me, someone will come" she said struggling to get out of his grip

"So what? Main apni biwi ke saath hun, padosi ke biwi ke saath nahi" he said making her roll her eyes at him, ofcourse how would he know, nobody will tease him, but Khushi and Arav would literally embarrass her with their teasing, she remembered the time when Arav saw Manik back hugging her while she was baking a cake, he didn't tease her in front of Manik but when he went to the office, he and Khushi teased her a lot about it

And ofcourse how can she forget the time when Khushi heard Manik calling her Jaan, Manik was teasing her because once he saw how her face turned red when he calls her that, so he started calling her that to tease her but Khushi heard it when she entered the Kitchen to eat ice cream, she smiled teasingly and called her Jaan embarrassing her, again

"Arey, beta, thodi toh sharam kar lo" Dadi said closing her eyes with her palms and turning around, Akshita pushed him and her face became red due to shyness, great, now one more added to the list
Manik chuckled and said "Kya dadi, aap sab mere romance ke dushman bane pade ho"

"Toh, tumhare paas itna bada kamra hai wo sab chodkar tum idhar, kitchen mein romance kar rahe ho" she said and Manik chuckled and gave Akshita a side hug and kissed her forehead and then turned towards his dadi touching her  feets and kissed her forehead saying

"Bye ladies, see you in the evening"

"Bye"

Dadi turned to Akshita with a teasing smile and Akshita fumbled saying

"Mai- main wo, main Khushi bhabhi ke paas jaati hun" she ran from there to save herself from the teasing

"Arey, Khushi toh ghar par hi nahi hai, pagli" dadi shouted laughing loudly but Akshita ran from there

"Kitchen mein khade hokar has kyu rahi hai aap?" Dadu asked

"Kuch nahi waise aap bataiye, aaj aap kitchen mein kaise aagaye?" Dadi asked

"Wo Akshu ke liye meri famous dish banane aaya tha" Dadu said proudly

"Accha? Phir toh bhagwaan bachaye bechari bacchi ko" she said sassily flipping her hairs and walking out like a queen while he stood there with open  mouth

"Dadi, main na NGO jaa rahi hun, Maa ne bulaya hai, aaplog khana kha lena" Akshita said

"Han beta, sambhal ke jaana aur Arav ko saath leja wo tujhe drop kar dega"

"Arav toh bhabhi aur bhaiya ke saath hospital gaya hai" she said

"Toh thik hai driver ko le ja saath aur jab wahan paunch jao toh call karna, thik hai?"

"Ji dadi, main chalti hun" Akshu said touching her feets and hugging her

"Kya hua Akshu, kahan jaa rahi ho?" Dadu asked

"Dadu, wo Maa ne bulaya hai, NGO mein kuch kaam hai" she said

"Accha, sambhal kar jaana aur jaldi aana, tab tak meri dish bhi ban jaayegi" Dadu said

"Ji bilkul, dadu"

2 hours later

"Hello" Shreya said

"Hi, Mom, aap thik hai?" Manik asked

"Han, Manik, mujhe kya hona hai" she asked

"Mom, kuch nahi, accha main call rakhta tha hun, Akshu ko call karna hai" Manik said impatiently

"Han, aur please Akshu se puchna wo kahan hai aur mera call kyu nahi utha rahi" she said worriedly

"Call kyu nahi utha rahi aur kahan hai matlab?" Manik asked confusedly

"Wo maine usse NGO aane ko kaha tha kuch kaam tha par 2 ghante hogaye abhi tak aayi nahi aur call bhi nahi utha rahi, tum try karo, tab tak main Arav ko call karti hun" Shreya said and Manik grew impatient

"Yes Mom, bye" he tried to call her but it was not reachable, since the time he came to office, he was feeling something is not right and that's why he called his Mom to ensure if she's okay, then he was about to call Akshita, he groaned in frustration

"Hello, Arav"

"Ji Mom" Arav answered

"Arav, tu kahan hai?" Shreya asked worriedly

"Main toh ghar pe hun, kyu kya hua?" He asked

"Arey Arav, zara Akshu ko call kar, maine bola tha NGO paunch jaaye toh call karna par shayad bhul gayi" Shreya heard Jaya's faint voice in background and she worried

"Arav, Akshu ghar pe nahi hai?" She asked worriedly

"Nahi, Mom, wo toh aapke paas aane wali thi, abhi tak nahi aayi?" He asked worriedly

"Nahi, Arav, accha tum rukho, main tumhare dad ko call karti hun"

Half an hour later

"What do you mean by aap 24 hours se pehle missing complaint nahi likh sakte, meri beti nahi mil rahi hai aur wo driver jiske saath wo NGO jaane wali thi wo bhi missing hai aur aap bol rahe hai missing complain nahi likh sakte?" Kartik asked frustratedly

"Inspector, I guess you guys don't love your job, that's why you people are so chill but let me remind you that I am capable enough that I can make you lose your job with just one phone call" Naksh said

"What are you waiting for, inspector? What do you want? Ki hum toh crime hone ke baad hi kuch actions lenge, huh? Listen, agar meri behen ko kuch bhi hua na I'll make sure you don't see your uniform, ever" Veer said angrily

"S-sir, please don't do that, hum try karte hai" inspector said fumbling

"Try nahi, I want my daughter here safe and sound very soon, otherwise-" Raj threatened

"Don't do it, Sir, please" inspector said

"Do your work"

"Veer, Manik kahan hai?" Kartik asked as he didn't see him since he came here

"Wo-"

"I don't care, okay, I want you to find that person who dared to target my wife" Manik shouted on the phone while entering inside the mansion

"Manik" Shreya ran to him

"Manik, I want my daughter back, please" she whispered

"I'll bring her back, Mom" Manik said and looked at veer and nodded

"Dad, the person who kidnapped Akshu is both our's and singhania's enemy" Manik said

"Who?" asked Naksh

"Raghav"
