how is this so far?

I stared at my wardrobe. There were quite a few dresses, but none that I was interested in.
What do I wear?
I sighed as I moved through all the outfits in the wardrobe, trying to find a nice one. It wasn't exactly a casual event, I had to look the part. I eventually picked out a light green dress, that sat just above my knees. I put safety shorts on underneath, just in case. I picked out some white heels.
I walked over to my jewellery box and opened it.
I haven't worn this stuff for years.
I took out some stuff and quickly untangled it, then my heart skipped a beat. In my hand was a necklace. A really nice necklace. It was gold with a white pendant on it. It used to be on of my favourites.
Because Hyunjin had brought it for me.

I sighed as I sat down on the table, putting my face in my hands. I was exhausted. I had just finished four assignments in five hours. How I managed to find the energy is beyond me. Now I was free to sleep.
I heard the door bang open from the other room. I assumed it was Hyunjin, so I didn't get up. I was right, within seconds Hyunjin had made his way to the kitchen and was standing over me.
"Long day, love?" he asked, ruffling my hair gently.
"Mmhmm," I murmured. "You?"
"My day was okay," he whispered. "Better now."
I smiled and looked up at him.
"I got you something," he said, digging into his pocket.
"Why?" I said as he passed it to me.
"Cause I love you, of course," he said, kissing my head. "Open it."
I gently opened the box.
"Hyunjin..." I whined. "I told you not to buy me expensive gifts!"
"I told you the more you say that, the more expensive gifts I'll get you," he crouched down and held my hands. "Do you like it?"
"Of course," I breathed, my fingers tracing the pendant. "I don't deserve you."
"You deserve everything and more, my love."
-
I guess Hyunjin is not 'everything and more'.
I want to wear it, but Hyunjin will be there. He might think I'm desperate.
Does he even remember that he gave it to me?
I rolled my eyes. What was I thinking? I didn't need to wear it. I chucked it to the other side of the room, silently promising to dispose of it later. I picked a different necklace, something my mother had given me for my eighteenth birthday, and put it around my neck. I picked out a watch, bracelet, and some earrings, then made my way to the bathroom to apply my makeup.
Perfect.

"You look great!" Ryujin exclaimed as I approached the team. The others looked at me, but I determinedly avoided Hyunjin's gaze.
"Thank you," I murmured, sitting next to Minho. I glanced at Hyunjin, who was staring down at his hands.
He looks so fucking good.
