Hwang Hyunjin's POV:
I smiled as I stared at her. She was staring out the window, a look of awe on her face. She looked adorable. She looked different to the serious sober woman I had been around these past few weeks. I walked over to her and tapped her shoulder. She turned around and smiled. Not her new smile. Her old smile, the one of a nineteen year old girl.
"Hey Hyunnie," she said. I stopped smiling and stared at her.
Hyunnie?
Oh wait, she's drunk.
"Come, let me take you home," I murmured. She shook her head.
"I'll drive," she said.
"You're too drunk, and you didn't bring your car, remember?" I replied calmly. She frowned.
"Oh," she said. I gently took her hand and went to the front door, where Minho and Jisung were standing.
"We're leaving," I said. Jisung nodded, then looked at Haewon.
"I think it's best you escort her home," he murmured. I nodded and said goodbye, then led her outside to my car.
"Look Hyunnie!" she said, pointing at the dark clouds. "Remember when we started dating? The weather was like this!" I stared at her, my lips widened slightly.
How does she remember that?
"I..." I stared at her. She smiled back. "I remember." She looked extremely happy.
"Come on baby!" she said. "We have to get home!" She grabbed my hand again and led me all the way to my car, at the end of the drive.
Baby?
She's drunk. stay focused Hwang.
"Come on love," I murmured. I helped her into the passenger seat, then quickly ran round to the drivers seat, and sat down. "Let's get you home."
"Will you come?" she asked. "Inside?"
"No, Haewon," I whispered. She pouted.
"Why not, Hyunnie?" she said. "Do you not love me anymore?" I stared at her, feeling tears coming through my eyes. I blinked them back. No crying when she's drunk.
"I do love you," I whispered, starting the engine up. "I just can't tonight."
"Mmm, okay," she lay back on the chair, her head resting on the headrest as she stared out the window. "You know Hyunnie...I've really missed you."
My heart skipped a beat, and if I wasn't driving, I probably would've frozen right then and there. I didn't reply.
"Did you miss me?" she asked, turning towards me. I turned my head towards her, my eyes meeting hers.
"Every single day."
She gave a smile at that, like a six year old after being told they'd be getting ice cream after school. It was cute. She reached over and held my free hand. I flipped my hand over and intertwined it with hers.
"Why did you leave me?" she asked, staring back out of the window. My heart was racing at this point. Fuck, why is she asking this when she's drunk?
"I'm still trying to work that out myself, Haewon," I said, glancing at her. She sighed and lay back.
"I wish I could trust you," she whispered. "I want to trust you. Can I trust you?" she turned to me. "Have you changed?"
I stared at her. She wants to trust me? A few weeks ago she told me she hated me.
