"Hi!" hyunjin smiled warmly as i approached him. i smiled back.
"hello," i replied, allowing him to put his arm around my shoulders. "you look nice."
"you look better," i felt my cheeks turning pink at that comment. "ready to go?"
"Mhm," i replied as we walked down the path. "where are you taking me?"
"shush," he said with a smile. "it's a surprise."
surprised i was. he had driven me all the way to the other side of town, to a lake. i was confused, until i realised.
"waffle house?" i gasped. he grinned.
"You let it slip you liked waffles," he shrugged. i smiled and wrapped my arms around his shoulders, pulling him into a hug. he laughed and returned my embrace.
"thank you!" i squealed. he grinned and took my hand.
the waffle house was on a huge path, made on the lake. there were fences around it to prevent people from falling, but, unless you're a child, why would you do anything stupid enough to fall off?
it was a great date, we got waffles, obviously, with ice cream. then hyunjin had smiled and took my hand, leading me into the forest. he had taken me to a bench, and sat me down, then he had disappeared for a few minutes, only to come back with flowers, roses, to be exact, and he handed them to me. i smiled and kissed him, then he indicated to the note.
Will you be my girlfriend? :)
-
I groaned as i thought about this moment for the 500th time today. that was Hyunjin and I's first date out of many.
I wish we could go back to then.
but wait, going back to then would mean heartbreak, all over again.
Yeah no i'm fine here.
-
I got ready for work, half reluctantly, and made my way downstairs.
"how was last night?" i asked Minji. she grinned.
"the best," she sighed. "he's really sweet."
"that's good," i murmured. "im happy for you."
"yeah, thanks," she said and stood up. "i have a job interview, gotta get ready!" and she left without another word.
i quickly made myself some breakfast then head out the front door, making my way down to the car. thankfully, it had been fixed, so i wouldn't need to get a taxi.
"hey seungmin!" i said when i got there. he looked up and smiled.
"hello." he said. "i made up with Cho-hee."
"knew you would," i replied. "how'd you do it?"
"well you know," he winked. "intimate relations are kinda my thing."
"thanks for letting me know," i muttered. he grinned and i looked over at yeji, who looked pissed. "yeji? what's up?"
"yuna!" she said immediately. "the stupid girl won't stop chasing after men who have no interest, and then she has the audacity to say i'm overreacting, even though i'll be the one comforting her after she gets heartbroken again."
i blinked.
"who's the guy?" seungmin asked.
" hyunjin." she replied.
