My eyes widened. It was him. I couldn't say anything. But really, I had to admit, he was hot. For some reason I was afraid of him. I felt like he was scarier than my father.
''(Y/n), why are you still standing?'' He asked. Hee talked to me?
"I-I.. um.. no reason?'' I stuttered.
''I see'' he nodded. I sat down on my desk and started drawing in my notebook. For some reason, I was good at drawing.
Finally the class finished and I decided to go and take a walk in the hall. I felt Kaneki's eyes following me but I just ignored it.
When I got out of the classroom I had no idea where to go so I just walked forward. A few minutes later I saw a group of three guys and two girls. At first I ignored them because I didn't want any trouble but then they came to me.
''Yo, are you new here?''
I stood there with cold look on my face, not saying anything.
''I asked you a question. Answer" he growled. Suddenly be kicked me. Apparently he kicked a place with a huge scar from my father so it really hurt. I fell on the floor, holding my leg, still trying to look careless and cold. He grabbed me by the shirt and shoved me in the wall.
'Just like my father did...' I thought
''Brat, we make the rules here. We can beat up whoever we want. And you gave up on that light kick? So pathetic.'' he said as he started laughing.
He was laughing along with the others. But one of the girls wasn't. She looked really scared and like tears were about to start falling from her eyes. I still didn't talk. Another one of the boys came and started kicking me.
Then a guy suddenly appeared between me and him. I saw hair white as snow.
"Kaneki..?" I whispered.
Kaneki caught him for his shirt and lifted him up high
''Listen, I don't care who you are but beating up an innocent girl is not cool'' he growled at the boy. He started shaking him and his ghoul eye appeared. ''Did you understand me?'' he growled once more. The guy was there, looking at him in fear. The others were also afraid. He slowly nodded and Kaneki threw him away. They all ran as fast as they could. I was sitting there, leaning against the wall, looking at the happening. Kaneki came to save me. But he was a ghoul. Yet he did. He went next to me and helped me get up.
''Hey. Are you okay?'' he asked. his voice was so soft and he smiled.
''I.. think so..''
He helped me get up but I realized you couldn't walk by myself, since my leg hurt a lot, so I almost fell. He caught me.
''You're not. I'll help you go home.'' he said.
I felt your face getting hot.
"I-it's fine. I can go by myself.'' I said hesitantly.
I let go of him and tried walking. I endured the pain the first few steps but then I fell. Damn that guy's kick, it was strong.
''You can't. Let me help you.'' He said. He came next to me and helped me get up again.
''Thank you'' I whispered.
Kaneki smirked ''I just happened to be passing by. I won't be here every time someone beats you up''
I smiled at him warmly in response.
KANEKI'S P.O.V
I was walking in a hallway to the next class when I heard laughing and strange noise coming from the other side of the school. I quickly ran there and I saw that strange girl.
She was kind of cute and seemed hurt so I decided to help.
I appeared between them really fast and caught the guy who was kicking her by the shirt. I started shaking him and growling at him.
''Kicking an innocent girl is not cool'' I said. My eye turned black and red. When I asked him if he understood me he nodded slowly and I threw him away. They all ran scared.
(Y/n) was sitting next to the wall staring at me. I noticed that she was holding her leg and realized she was hurt.
I felt strange. I was sad that she was hurt. I thought that she might have been through hard times in her past. I felt bad for her so I decided to help her get home.
At first she hesitated but then she had to agree. She was blushing. I showed no emotion except for the time when I smirked once. I helped her get up and she put her arm on my back so she wouldn't fall.
We silently walked out of the school.
