Reader's P.O.V
I woke up by the sound of my alarm. A week had passed since the accident happened. Kaneki helped me and Hatori to return the house back to the way it was.
I looked at my phone. It was monday, 8:00 am. I was going back to school today.
''And they got me only on the first day... I wonder what's gonna happen now'' I said to myself as I sighed.
I got out of my bed. In the past few weeks Hatori didn't eat much. She didn't ask me for breakfast or any meal like she used to. It was making me feel worried but I thought she would be back to normal soon.
I got the first things I saw from my wardrobe - black jeans, black (favorite anime) shirt and a (F/C) hoodie. When I was ready I went downstairs. Hatori was still asleep.
I tried to keep quiet so I wouldn't wake her up. I quickly made a toast and grabbed a bottle of juice from the fridge. By the time all of that was done it was already 8:15 am.
I grabbed my bag and went to the front door. I unlocked it and walked out.
The sky looked like it was going to rain. For some reason I loved the rain so it made me smile.
''What are you smiling at?'' I heard a familiar voice say. I turned and saw Kaneki standing on the stairs of the apartment building next to my house.
''K-kaneki... do you like, live here or something?'' I asked. I felt myself blush. He nodded.
"Shall we go to school together, (Y/N)?" He asked.
''Alright'' I nodded in agreement. He ran down and came next to me.
We were walking in silence until we reached the school. The first thing we saw was the group of people from last time. I stopped. My breathing became heavier. I felt an arm wrap around my shoulders.
''Don't worry. As long as you're with me they won't do anything to you. No one will. I promise'' Kaneki said. He was helping me once again. I felt myself blushing as I nodded for a silent 'Thank you'.
We finally reached the classroom. We had math first. All classes I had happened to be together with Kaneki. I sighed in relief and looked at him. He was peacefully sitting behind me - the place he always chose. I was sitting in front of him - the only place apart from the one next to him which was always free.
The entire day went on without any problems. Last class we had was history. There were 10 minutes left until the end. I was staring at the rain outside when I felt something fall on my desk. It was a piece of paper. I picked it up and opened it.
Do you want to go to the coffee shop I work at today with me? I understand if not...

I wrote a 'sure, why not?' on the back of the note and gave it to him while smiling.

Ok, I was so lame almost a year ago. Like, I clearly wrote in Reader's P.O.V which should be "I said..." and then as I read on, in the middle of the chapter I see a "You said, blushing"
Ok. Can someone explain to me, wtf was I doing? rip And why are the chapters so short? I would love to change that since now a (fanfiction) chapter doesn't go under 1000/1500 even though that's still short but I guess it's fine for a story I almost gave up on a coupletimes ^-^
Anyways, this was also only grammar corrections
