Erebon's POV

I didn't wake up today thinking I was going to kill someone, but it's now consumed my whole psyche.

My brother, Royal Alpha Orpheus, had a peculiar letter sent to his personal mailing box, asking for his help as a lawyer.

A werewolf nurse named Natascha wanted Orpheus to encourage and support her friend Sabrina through a divorce.

Sabrina didn't want a divorce and kept saying everything was fine. She was an omega though, so she didn't have any ability to fight back.

To prove Sabrina needed Royal Alpha intervention, Natascha provided haunting evidence.

After setting up secret cameras in her friend's house, she cut down the evidence to the major encounters over a week. 10 minutes of footage and I was ready to kill Hannibal Bennett, a wolf who worked in the human community, outside pack foundations as a real estate agent.

But I never passed on this letter full of information to my brother.

I also avoided my pack mates, Qullion, Sascha, Zoran and Laoch; all degenerate Alphas who were living under Greywood protection. They could technically help me – but I find myself personally drawn into this situation. I don't consult them while they play video games. Meanwhile, my brother is busy being a lawyer out back in his office.

So my afternoon is cleared.

Natascha said tonight was a good time to knock on their door after 7pm, as she was minding their two daughters for a couple of hours.

I called up Natascha and told her briefly what I expected her to do.

Then I hop into my red Ferrari and take off, video images replaying of the kitchen and living area. Sabrina was a typical omega, she had large brown eyes and long blonde hair, she was mousey for sure, always looking down in the videos. It was hard to see her features clearly.

In one clip, when 'Hans' came home, a tall red headed wolf wearing a tacky suit, Sabrina was simply walking out of the kitchen when he tipped his foot out and purposefully tripped his wife. She said nothing as she fell to the floor. He laughed and called her clumsy. His smile just in that video footage made me see red.

In another clip, he was watching a tv show and their daughters were audibly crying in another room over. Sabrina had been in the middle of holding up a used shirt in front of him from the laundry, questioning him quietly about a 'funny smell' and lipstick smears on the collar of his shirt. Hans called her delusional, then proceeded to scream at his wife to attend 'her' kids.

And finally the third clip... it was the longest and the most brutal.

The footage is dark. Hannibal comes home late, drunk on a Sunday night – the one just past actually. Exactly three days ago. He tosses his phone down on the kitchen bench, Sabrina was waiting by the fridge, hurriedly grabbing him a glass of water – when he went to the bathroom and his phone rings on the counter. Sabrina nervously answers it, not wanting it to ring out, whatever she hears is enough for her to drop the phone and it smacks against the floor. Hans comes out raging, Sabrina says another woman's name, confused and hunched over. He got right in her face, dared her to say the name again. Even though the video seemed silent, he proceeded to bash her while calling her a delusional bitch. I watched the whole assault. Then the cherry on top, I saw two sets of eyes in the corner of the vision. Two little girls, 4 and 3 years old, wrapped in blankets, silently watching as their father laid their mother out. They were so scared they weren't making any noise, they were mimicking their mother – who was also trying her best not to scream. Not to scare them. It ended with him threatening to kill her if she ever said the woman's name ever again. The woman he was cheating on her with.
