Seth's POV

Dregar, Kentwood, Borne... minus Arcraw.

Turns out? When they were out in the streets raping wolves and humans, they were twenty-one year old bears back in the day trying to impress a Majesty who was recruiting bears for Wolf Trap.

Arcraw was their Majesty and ring-leader on this side of the country. When I saw a picture of him on his wedding day my stomach turned. White hair, dark blue eyes and a heavy-set jaw, wearing suits draped with wolf fur. Golden cane. Gold rings. This guy had just been married a week ago to a young female bear that looked petrified in the photos. Arranged and shipped in from a third-world country is my guess. Not that I had any idea on what bears were into or their traditions, but just from one picture I knew the wedding wasn't consensual either.

That poor girl would be free of him by the time I had my hands wrapped around his throat.

Maybe my Alpha instincts knew I had to beef up for a fight because Arcraw was a big, big mother fucker. He definitely worked out, I just hope I worked out harder for this moment.

I sent my Beta's home because I had changed my mind about bringing these bears anywhere near Firwood.

Least of all a Majesty who looked like he could rip through a pack of wolves all on his own.

And apparently he already had. Smaller, new wolf packs that were relatively unknown but just beginning were his favourite choices. Dregar told me Arcraw would kill entire families, it was his whole reputation. Ending bloodlines.

It's almost like this royal bear knew I was coming for him, he wasn't as huge when we met that night in the club. But he's been beefing up for a reason, and I've spent every second of every day imagining this reunion.

I had struggled with deciding how best to bring justice to Eliza and Jack.

I now knew, just seeing their faces again would traumatise my beautiful mate. It would put the whole pack in danger, too.

I had told Erebon in advance of my decision. No Lycans needed. I wanted to kill them myself. I needed the Sub-Alphas to stand guard as I fought them one by one. To the death.

I secured a phone line with Arcraw.

He agreed to show if I killed the other three and sent him pictures of their corpses.

He agreed to show alone and face me then.

I only needed thirty minutes.

Laoch and Sabrina would be on the lookout for Arcraw's signature fleet of cars in Keatfur. His bear guard drove bronze Bentleys.

From what I had heard, Laoch was Erebon's best driver.

He had never failed to getaway from a sticky situation.

He was also a distraction.

Sabrina was here... because... well... I couldn't understand Greywood logic.

Erebon was a different kind of reckless, but I could feel the young mating bond between them was fragile enough that he didn't want her physically separated from him or without a watchful eye on her at all times.

I don't know what she knows either, but I can't worry about that now.

The Sub-Alphas walk into the empty warehouse.

I stand opposite the three bears tied to chairs. They haven't been very talkative, but I can see in their eyes that they had some kind of unbreakable faith in Arcraw to kill me.

I think it's why Dregar had met with them here, knowing I was tracking them. He was stupid but not that stupid. So, I knew I was part-way walking into Arcraw's idea of a showdown. But I also knew a Majesty wouldn't sit one out with me.
