POV: HUNTER

Finally, the stupid school year was over. God, it was boring as hell. Well... except for the annual sports competition between schools. That was intense. Best part? We won the cup this year. Though, now that I think about it.....there was something else that kept things interesting. My mind drifted to the short, dark-haired, ocean-blue-eyed boy in my class, Nicholas. Quiet. Distant. Always wearing either a blank or depressed expression.

I don't even know why, but every time I see him, he gets on my nerves. I'm the richest kid in school. I've got everything, money, friends, status. He's either dirt poor or just obsessed with wearing the same clothes every day. A complete loner. So how the hell do I hear girls gushing about his "cute looks"? It's so damn annoying. And it's not just that. He's the best student in class.

The teachers don't step in when we mess with him, but I can see it in their eyes. They like him. His art, his observational skills... it's ridiculous. He's a freak! His style is creepy as hell, but the way he brings things to life...Damn it. What pisses me off the most, though, is that he doesn't care about me. Not even a little. He's the only one in that school who doesn't admire me, envy me, or try to get close to me. Even after everything we've put him through, he doesn't follow us, doesn't fight back... nothing.

Why?!

Does he think he's better than me? Yeah... that's probably it. But on the last day of school, something was off. He wasn't his usual empty, lifeless self. He looked.....worse. Dark circles under his agitated eyes, hair a mess, posture tense. It was unsettling. Even the teachers avoided him..... except for Mrs. Luna. When I went up to him, I expected the usual reaction. But instead, he looked bored, no, irritated. And then he told me to piss off.

Me!!

Who the hell did he think he was?! So yeah, after school, me and the guys decided to "teach him a lesson." Truth is... I wasn't even that into it at first. But that damn painting....that fucking freak. How could someone like him create something like that?! It pissed me off. Still... maybe we went too far this time. But he's probably fine. That creep always finds a way to crawl back out and keep going.

At least I figured I wouldn't have to see him again until summer break ended. So you can imagine my mood when I arrived at camp... and bumped straight into him. He was bandaged, a few scratches still visible, though most of the damage had healed. At first, he looked genuinely shocked to see me. Then his expression shifted into something that practically screamed, "I'm so done with this."

I didn't get it. What was he doing here? I thought he'd avoid anything involving people from school. And yet.....there he was. Standing right in front of me. Looking at me with pure irritation.
Yeah... that really got under my skin.

POV: NICHOLAS

Great. Just great. I could already feel my bones aching more just by looking at him. Out of all the people in this stupid camp, I just had to bump into this egomaniac. I'm seriously starting to think my very existence is a sin, and a greater force is punishing me for it.

Hunter: - What the fuck are you doing here, freak?!

Nicholas: - I could ask you the same thing. But for your information, it's none of your business.
