3RD POV

The cool morning breeze still lingered in the atmosphere, trying to keep everything in its cold embrace, but ultimately falling short to the bright, golden rays of the sun. Their warmth was just what Chrissie needed, gently easing the tension in her shoulders. Being a seventeen-year-old girl, now a fully fledged magic warrior, accepted into the best squad in the kingdom, was an incredible achievement, one she still struggled to fully grasp.

Aurelius Brightburn, the captain of the Shiny Beacons himself, had recognized her potent light magic and refined skills, offering her a place on his team. It was a high honor, one that filled her family with pride. Yet despite her remarkable accomplishments, Chrissie's nerves remained relentless, buzzing beneath her skin like tiny sparks of static.

And now here she was, waiting patiently in the castle's yard for the blacksmith assigned to forge her personal weapon. Her long, dark-blonde hair danced in the soft wind, shimmering each time the sunlight touched it. Her greenish-blue eyes were fixed on the brick road leading to the palace gates, watching... waiting... anticipating the moment he would arrive. She straightened her posture, inhaling a steady breath. She would be strong. No, she had to be more than that.

She needed to prove she truly deserved the emblem on her armor... and the faith Aurelius had placed in her. To ensure the kingdom's safety and never let those who put their faith in her down. For the sake of the people. Of her parents. Of the king. Of her squad mates. Of her captain. She WOULD prevail.

Meanwhile, inside the palace....

     Aurelius: - PLEASE MARRY ME!!!!

.....what the F?

That's the only thought going through the minds of Nicholas, Zana and Hunter. The moment the saw the white-haired man, they expected aggression, hostility and probably a fight. But no. Here he was on one knee, and freaking PROPOSING to Selin!! The situation was getting more and more bizarre by the minute.

     Selin: - No.

Aurelius gasped, abruptly standing up, his voice unrecognizably high pitched.

Aurelius: - WHAT?! YOU'RE STILL TURNING ME DOWN?! ME?! AURELIUS BRIGHTBURN?!

He comically froze like a statue and shattered into tiny little pieces, before mending himself back together.

Aurelius: - Well then, I guess I have no other choice....

He placed a hand on the wall behind her, leaned closer, wearing the most flirtatious expression he could muster. Then with his other hand, he slightly pushed his pearly white armor down, exposing his flawless neck and a little bit of his well-built chest. His voice dropping a few octaves into a flirtatious purr like liquid velvet and burning temptation.

Aurelius: - Come on.... I know you want it. So be a good girl and I'll give you a reward....

     Selin: - Pass.

The poor guy froze again. Breaking into imaginary pieces and then reforming on the spot once more. He remained in a sitting position on the floor, pointing an accusing finger on the black-haired woman he so desperately tried to win over.

Aurelius: - HOW CAN YOU STILL BE SO CRUEL TO ME, MY LITTLE MOON?! WHY WON'T YOU EVER MARRY ME?!

He shouted with literal tears streaming down his eyes, acting like a little kid throwing a tantrum after being told no. It was both amusing, and incredibly bizarre to witness.
