We only had about a month left for the 3 of us. We were so excited we had became closer each day. Not only were we friends, we were sisters and our bond was closer than blood.

"So Shawna selling to the Beehive now?" asked Kaykay, looking across the exercise room and at Shawna and her clique. "Shawna too wishy-washy for me mane. One minute she foolin wit da Beehive mexicans and the next she fightin them. Confused HOE!!!" yelled Kaykay. Shawna looked over at us, licked her 2 fingers and rubbed them across her inner thigh.
Shawna was what you would call the Queen B of the prison. She sold dope and ran most of the money train within the prison. Kaykay was just jealous because she was no longer the go-to-girl. She decided to step down, which allowed Shawna to claim her spot on the throne.

"Girl please you only throwing shade because you missin tha money. I haven't let mines go yet. I gotta keep stackin so I can have a lil something come release day." laughed Porsha as she did her happy dance. "There's my money right there."

Porsha was what you considered a hustler, hustling prison guards that is.  She used what she had and got what she wanted. From my understanding, Porsha itched for love. The only time she actually felt it besides being with me and KayKay was when she had the attention of a man.

"Officer Tuckerrrr, you never met with me about my release information. Can we go to your office and discuss it?" asked Porsha. I knew what that meant. Officer Tucker was one of her business men. That was a shocker to me. He seemed so much better than that. I mean I loved my girl Porsha, but Officer Tucker seemed so genuine and down to earth. Not like the type to risk his job sleeping with inmates.

"Yes ma'am I forgot all about that" answered Officer Tucker with a smirk like he was ready for Porsha. They then walked towards the building door.

"Porsha's coochie is gonna fall off" Kaykay laughed as we watched them walk towards the building.

"Oh yeh. . . .and what's gone happen to them girls you be creepin to the kitchen with every night." I asked as Kaykay looked at me licking her lips and rubbing her hands together.

"Oh Nelly they in love with cha girl. That's why I dont have to hustle no mo. My women take care of me" she laughed. "Come on lets go see what Porsha be doing to the guards. " I hesitated, but Kaykay grabbed my hands pulling me towards the building."

"We can't see anything KayKay the door will be locked."

"Girl I'm from the streets. Do you know how many doors I've broken into?"

The door was locked and we heard no one on the other side. That meant that they were probably in the connected office on the other side. Kaykay managed to unlock the door without even a squeak. She had done this too many times. We crept in and could hear the moans of Officer Tucker and Porsha. Following the noise, it seemed as if they grew even louder. The door to the second room was half open. There was Porsha posted on Tucker's desk. They both were naked. Tucker who appeared kinda stocky in his uniform was broad, buff, and perfectly sculpted. As he pressed inside of Porsha, sweat rolled from his back and down his butt. He moaned and rubbed his fingers through her hair, frequently asking her how it felt and who's was it. He then picked her up and sat her on the couch continuing their sexual experience. They weren't just having casual sex, they were making love. They were holding each other, caressing one another, and every so often exchanging passionate kisses and "I Love You". My girl had fell in love with something. I don't know if it was the guy or the feeling. My girl, who longed for love, had found it in the wrong place. She found it in sex. I knew that this would be a demon that would break her later. She had fallen in love with a passion that you only felt for a moment. That moment was one that she would eventually fall addicted to. This was the beginning of a long road. . . .

Me and Kaykay walked back to the cell, showered and spent our night playing spades and eating junk food.

"What's going on ladies and gentleman?" said Porsha walking into the cell.

"And where the hell you been?" I asked.

"I took a shower, watched a little tv and went to church in the chapel."

"You need Jesus from what we saw today!" Kaykay looked at me as if she had seen a ghost. It had honestly slipped out. But who cares. She needed to hear it.

"So ya'll was watching me huh? Did u get excited Nelly Nell? Did it get your panties wet?"

"Fuck you Porsha!!"

"I dont need anyone judging me. We are all here for our reasons. Nelly you don't be complaining come time to buy your snacks and personals. Making my money helps yo broke ass too. " I jumped up and Kaykay got in between.

"Come on mane. Ya"ll need to chill. This aint worth fighting over" said Kaykay softly.

"I don't need Nelly judging me Kaykay. I give her that much respect to not judge her." I sat on my bed and Porsha climbed up top to hers. The room became quiet, as Sgt. Morris entered.

"Kayla, we need you to come to the Warden's office." Sgt. Morris was suprisingly calm, yet wore a face of worry. This was unusual. He grabbed KayKay's arm as me and Porsha sat silently on our beds.

We had started to fall asleep. Me and Porsha hadn't said anything to each other since Kaykay left. Suddenly, we heard a loud scream. I hadn't heard a scream like that since my Uncle Devon's funeral. Porsha jumped down from her bed as I sat up in mine. It was Kaykay. The guards were holding her up on both sides. I signaled for them to lay her on my bed.

"What's wrong with her?" I screamed

"Her brothers were killed in a drive by" answered Officer Conner. Kaykay screamed. She screamed and cried for about an hour. We held her shaking body.

"My brothers are gone. What Im gone do Nelly. My babies are gone!" she cried. Her body still shaking as she clutched on to Porsha's shirt. "It hurts so bad. . . . God please help me."

"We got you baby. I promise we gotcha." I answered as I laid across her legs. We were all crying by this time. I hated to see my girl in so much pain.

"We getting out in a couple of weeks. My brothers were killed doing what we were raised to do. I can't go back to that ya'll. I can't go back to that life. Ya'll gotta be here with me. Support me. Be my sisters. My mama gonna try to make me go back. I can't do it ya'll. They killed my brothers. I can't take anymore." By this time she was balled into a pulp, shaking,. . . .crying,. . . paining. I didn't know her entire story, but I knew she wanted out. It was killing her that that lifestyle took her brothers. It was eating her away.

"Pass me not oh gentle savior. Hear my humble cry. While our gentle hearts are calling. . . .do not pass me by" sung Porsha as she rubbed through Kaykay hair. As she continued to sing, we cried harder. I layed there still caressing my sister's leg. I didn't know her pain, but damn sure felt something.

I had figured it out. Now with her brothers gone, her paralyzed mother would look to her to fully support the family. Kaykay wasnt having it.  And then there was Porsha. Though I cried for KayKay, I could see the look on Porsha's face as she song. Those words were not only a comforter for Kaykay, but seemed to hold meaning to Porsha as well. It was as if she used that exact song during her trials. Porsha had a beautiful voice. We didnt even know she could sing. Now was not the time to ask about her vocals though. I knew that I would get And we would be there to back her up. . . . .
