Evyn's POV

I'm relieved that there weren't many injuries and none were severe. As I reviewed the accident documents, it felt like solving a puzzle with a missing piece; something just didn't add up.

"Ms. Klen, I asked you to compile a file detailing the causes and defects that could lead to this type of accident. Have you completed it?"

"Yes, sir, but there's another major issue. All our computers have been hacked."

"What? How is that even possible?"

I approached the computer with the message 'Stai attento, PERICOLO' displayed on the screen. It was clearly Italian, a language I'm not particularly fond of, but I still know the basics.

Now the pieces of the puzzle are coming together; this wasn't an accident at all—it was deliberate. My suspicions were aroused because the injuries sustained were minor and non-fatal, yet the resulting damage to our factory was extensive.

I have my suspicions about a few individuals, but none of them seem bold enough to orchestrate something like this. However, it's clear that someone had the audacity to carry out this sabotage.

There are two possibilities in this case—either the individuals I suspect are collaborating to carry out these acts, or there's a warning being sent by someone else.

The person behind the accident at our medicine factory and the hacking of our software company's computers may have further plans. Perhaps they intend to target other industries as well, providing us with a connection that could lead to their discovery.

But why target me? None of my family members have wronged anyone of significant influence, and I haven't either until now. So what could be their motive? Are they seeking something from me?

Italy is notorious for its mafia, but it's unlikely that they would risk targeting someone like me. Hacking into my company's computers isn't an easy feat, suggesting that the culprit must have significant influence or resources.

With a concerned expression, Klen interjected, "Sir, what about the press conference?"

"Don't worry, proceed with the conference before the internship interviews begin," I reassured her.

"Understood, sir."

"Sir, you need to head to Elysium. I've organized all the portfolios of the interns. This marks the first year we're accepting interns in mathematics and business majors for our car company."

Internships hold great significance within Viotto Groups. We don't simply select interns based on their GPA; we ensure they have the potential to excel in their roles. Many interns go on to secure permanent positions within our companies after graduation.

Viotto Groups is committed to maintaining the high standards of our companies, and we do not accept recommendations or compromise on quality.

Returning to my office, my head was throbbing with the weight of these ongoing issues until I received an unexpected phone call.

"Hello, sunshine, what's up?" I greeted warmly.

"Evy, I don't want to intern," she replied, her tone filled with reluctance.

Knowing her well, I understood there had to be a reason behind her sudden call.  "Sar, you need to go through with it. Good grades alone won't guarantee you a good life."

In a pleading tone, she insisted, "But I'll have you."

I firmly stated, "No more discussions. You're interning, and we'll go out for a meal after you return during the break, okay?"

"But I don't want to come back and be pestered by Mamma and papa ," she protested.

After a moment's consideration, I relented. "Alright, I'll talk to Aunt and Uncle."

"You're the best brother in the world ! I'll treat you to something next week," she promised.

"Okay, deal. I have some work to attend to now. See you next week," I concluded before ending the call.

In my extended family, Sarah stands out among my cousins. She's selfless, kind, and giving, unlike the rest who seem foolish and greedy, much like their parents.

Sarah's mother is from India, shares Sarah's compassionate nature while her father is a well-known businessman and my father's brother.

Although my father inherited the family property and Viotto Groups as the eldest, the other family members are shareholders, with the majority owned by me.

While I've never felt close enough to address others as brothers and sisters, Sarah is different.

She's almost perfect in every way—keeping her emotions to herself, dedicated to her family, and always giving her best. She's beautiful inside and out, but like all humans, she has her weaknesses and struggles.

They say, some people are special for being special, and that quote perfectly encapsulates Sarah.

Now, I need to find a way to protect her from her parents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Returning home would only bring her hardship, as it has in the past.

Sending her abroad for her internship would not only provide her with valuable experiences in other countries but also give her the chance to enjoy her holidays and escape the pressures of home.

Sending Sarah to Atlas's place in Germany seems like the best idea. It's safe there, and she can get away from all the family drama here.

But getting her to agree won't be simple, especially because she doesn't like Atlas and what he did before. Still, I might not have any other choice, at least for now.
