The midday sun filtered through the large windows of the office, casting a warm glow over the room as Florence sat at her desk, idly stirring her coffee.

Despite the hustle and bustle of her coworkers around her, her thoughts kept drifting back to Lando Norris. As she sipped her coffee, she couldn't help but replay their brief encounter in her mind—the way his curly hair had fallen in loose waves around his face, the easy smile that lit up his features, his effortless charm.

She continued her work, preparing for a meeting with the executives when she felt a buzz from her phone, opening it she saw it was a text from Piper.

Piper: Hello hello, how're you doing? I'm in Woking for some work today, got my work car - need a ride home?

Flo: oooh yes please, thanks!

As she thought more about Lando it was his hair that had triggered the memory of her friend Freya—the curly locks that were usually hidden beneath a cap or helmet but had been styled today for a shoot.

With a surge of determination, Florence reached for her phone and sent a text to Freya.

Flo: Hey, Freya how've you been? I have a random question for you

After a little while of her continuing her work she got a reply.

Freya: Hey girl I'm good. And of course ask me anything

Flo: You know Lando Norris, formula One driver? Well did we ever bump into him while out together?

Freya: You mean at Talia's birthday ? He was there, I'm pretty sure I saw you guys chatting?

She replied back a quick thanks as her eyes widened in shock as the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. Lando Norris, the McLaren driver, was the same "James" who she had been messaging for the past couple months. How had she not recognised him sooner? Was she truly that drunk that night, and how had he not recognised her? He must've been just as drunk she thought.

Florence knew she had to speak to him soon, she thought about sending him a text but feeling overwhelmed she decided to put it off until later.

As Florence made her way through the office, lost in her thoughts, she nearly collided with Mateo, who was heading in the opposite direction.

"Whoa there, Florence! Watch where you're going," Mateo exclaimed with a chuckle, steadying her with a hand on her shoulder.

"Sorry, Mateo," Florence replied, offering him a sheepish smile. "I was a million miles away."

Mateo grinned, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Lost in thought, huh? Well, I hope those thoughts include joining us for drinks again tonight, Lando's joining us too."

Florence's heart skipped a beat at the invitation, her mind racing with possibilities. "Count me in."

Mateo grinned triumphantly, clapping her on the back. "That's the spirit! I'll see you there, then."

As Florence watched him walk away, her mind whirled with excitement and anticipation. Tonight's drinks would be the perfect opportunity to tell Lando about everything.

Flo: Hey Pipes, mind joining me for work drinks first? I have major news to spill.

With a renewed energy, Florence headed to the meeting, her heart pounding with anticipation for the evening ahead.
