Vikk's POV

Tears fogged my eyes as Lachlan was heaved on a stretcher. His skin was pale, and he laid limply; as if he were lifeless.

In shame, I looked at the ground. If we didn't beat Mitch and Rob, Lachlan and Jerome would have never fought, and it would have been just fine.

Guilt was eating at my core, and I started to hate every action I've ever took. We should have just left the two alone, but rage and revenge was so thick that I don't think we could have prevented this if we tried. Lachlan was just stealing our friends away, and we knew Preston would be gone too, and I guess we were just full of anger.

I honestly had no clue what crawled into Jerome and died, and I have no clue why the boy even carried a knife in the first place, but he surely inflicted major damage.

From the moment they began to tussle, I could see the pain coursing through Lachlan's eyes, and I couldn't help but beg this never happened. This was all a mistake, and we should have never beat the two boys.

Mitch's POV

I had curled against Preston and Rob, soothing the two with light touches and soft words, even though I myself was throbbing in every limb and orifice. A shadow was suddenly cast over us, and I looked up with very painful facial expressions. "You all go to my office, now," Principal Dennis commanded with a stern glare, and she watched wordlessly as Rob was placed out of Preston's lap.

Preston stood up first, wiping away the bundle of tears under his eyes and helping Rob stand. I instructed the fellow Canadian to prop up against Preston, and he did while sucking in sharp breaths and whimpering.

As I went to stand, I stumbled and collapsed right back to the ground, crying out in surprise as pain shot up my frame harshly. Quickly, I felt hands wrap under my arms and pull me to my feet. I gave a thankful look to Vikk, who smiled weakly, and we began to stumble and limp towards the principal's office.

Before we even set foot in the room, I could sense the desire to yell at us, and everything just felt so very deceiving as we stood awkwardly at the doorway. She should at least be happy we made it this far, as I knew Rob and I were very desperately needing to be sent to the hospital.

"Sit down, boys," She growled lowly, and the others did, Rob having more trouble as he began to cry and sob from the pain. As I still stood, her cold eyes locked on to my battered frame, and she pointed at the last open chair, but I shook my head at her command.

All too quickly, her entire face was enraged, and she smashed her hand on the desk loudly. I flinched back at the sound, wincing as pain shot up me, but I didn't dare follow what she wanted. We needed assistance, not to be scolded.

Before I could react, I was shoved to the ground, and I started wailing loudly. My knees retracted to my chest, and I grasped my stomach while gripping the skin tightly with the sound of my sobbing echoing off the walls.

Everything felt like I was being stabbed repeatedly, and I couldn't even hear my own thoughts due to the pound of my head and the throb of my wounds. She towered over my cowering, painful body, looking at me with such rage that it could skin an animal's pelt.

"You better stand up before I make you regret faking the pain," she hissed, but her words only made me tense and want to punch her in her stupid face over and over. "You stupid bitch!" I managed to spit, blood dripping from open cuts and wounds.

"You don't know what happened," I whimpered, the tears running down my face having blurred everything, but she snarled loudly, "That's it! Get up!" before rushing over and finding it to be a smart idea to yank me up by the arm off of the ground.

Just like that, the wind was knocked out of my lungs with the exploding pain in my chest making it nearly impossible to breathe. I collapsed to the ground, motionlessly limp on the floor as she looked startled and stunned.

A body was beside mine quickly, tears falling on my face from his eyes. Rob rubbed my back in attempts to help, but I was crying harder that I couldn't breathe, and that's when paramedics rushed in.

They heaved me on a stretcher and confirmed I was in very serious condition, and that only made the principal sink in on herself as they listed what was wrong, "He appears to have broken ribs, fluid is rushing into his lungs, and he has major damage to his face and torso. He needs medical help now."

Rob, Preston, and Vikk were told to come with, as Rob was injured as well, and they stuck us into an ambulance while slamming the doors shut behind us. The blaring of the sirens began to make everything so much more fuzzy, and soon I was blurring in and out of consciousness.

The lack of oxygen to my lungs shut off, and everything crashed around me in darkness as I went out cold with no warning besides the flat line of the monitor hooked up to me.
