CHAPTER EIGHT
Great Pep Talk

Rose wasn't even trying to pay attention to Bruce and Tony talking about the Cradle. She was just simply a fly on the wall.

    "I'm gonna say this once." Steve stepped in, making Rose look up to see Wanda and Pietro.

    "How about 'none-ce'?" Tony retorted.

    "Shut it down!" Steve raised his voice.

    "Nope, not gonna happen." Tony responded.

    "You don't know what you're doing." Steve said.

    "And you do?" Rose questioned, raising her eyebrows.

    Steve shot her a look.

    Bruce pointed at Wanda, "she's not in your head?" Bruce wondered.

    "I know you're angry." Wanda said in a quiet tone, walking out of the shadows.

    "Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade." Bruce threatened.

    "Okay, that's not gonna happen." Rose dismissed out of protection for Wanda.

    "Banner, after everything that's happened—"

    "It's nothing compared to what's coming!" Tony cut Steve off.

    "You don't know what's in there!" Wanda's voice rose.

    Rose saw Pietro roll his eyes at the continuous and somewhat pointless banter. "This isn't a game!" Steve hollered.

    Pietro ran over to shut it down, "no, no. Go on. You were saying?" Pietro sassed.

    A gunshot ran through the room and a bullet shot straight up. Then, the glass floor underneath him shattered and sent him falling. "Pietro!" Wanda shouted.

    "I'm rerouting the upload." Tony announced, causing Steve to throw his shield while Tony's Iron Man 'suit-hand', came flying to Tony. Bruce had Wanda in a chokehold. Rose sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

    "Go ahead, piss me off." Bruce threatened.

    "Guys! We have bigger problems." Rose tried, but of course, no one was listening.

    Thor came flying in and he summoned lightning, then shocked the Cradle, causing a power overload. The case opened, and a red android flew out of it. He went to attack Thor, but Thor threw him. Everyone started making their way to see the thing that was in the Cradle everyone was debating over. 

    "I am sorry. That was odd. Thank you." The guy thanked Thor.

    "Thor. You helped create this?" Steve asked.

    "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life, and at its centre is that." Thor explained, pointing to the yellow gem.

    "What? The gem?" Bruce wondered.

    "It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." Thor continued.
