Sirius watched from the back porch as the sun went down over the horizon. Harry, Remus, and Draco were in the house, getting ready for the full moon. Sirius went back to the living room, where he found Remus sitting on the couch. He sat beside his mate and leaned his head on his shoulder. "I'll be fine," Remus said as he brought a hand up and ran it through the curly hair.

"I know, you'll be fine," Sirius said, shuffling closer and wrapping his arms around Remus's waist.

"Are you worried about Harry?" Remus asked, and Sirius nodded. Remus wrapped his arm around Sirius and pulled him onto his lap. "He'll be fine; I'll be with him. It'll be hard since it's his first, but I'll make sure he's okay," Remus reassured, and Sirius tucked himself closer to the werewolf.

Remus cast a tempus before standing, wrapping his arms around the other man to keep him from falling. He went to the kitchen, set the taller man on the counter, and stepped back. "I have time before I leave, so I'll make some food for you and Draco, and then we'll head out," Remus told him, and Sirius smiled.

"Do I get to help this time?" Sirius asked, and Remus cast a side glance at him before raising a brow. "I'll listen this time. I promise," Sirius said, pouting and doing his best puppy eyes.

"Fine," Remus sighed, "But you listen to everything I say. No accidents," he said, pointing a warning finger at Sirius, who nodded eagerly.

"OK, you can gather the ingredients," He said and proceeded to tell Sirius what to get from the pantry. They had gone to the muggle supermarket and bought enough food to fill it because Remus wanted to do most of the cooking. They had talked about holding off on getting a house elf for now. Remus liked down housework, and Sirius preferred to have Remus cook anyway.

Sirius had gotten a part-time job as an owlet trainer at a pet store on Diagon Alley. It was completely impulsive. He had gone to Diagon Alley to buy a new pair of pants, saw the 'Help Wanted' sign in the window, and went in and got the job. He had come home three hours later than he planned to a worried Remus pacing in the living room.

Remus made dinner, then shared it, put it on the table, and cast a preservation charm. Harry and Draco stood on the porch, saying their goodbyes. Remus and Sirius walked a little further down the garden path, giving them some privacy. "Be careful," Sirius said softly, leaning down and kissing his forehead.

"I will. You just make sure you sleep and don't stay up worrying," Remus said, smiling at the man who looked at him sheepishly.

Footsteps came towards them, and they turned to look at Harry, slowly approaching. "Are you ready, Cub?" Remus asked, and Harry gave him a tentative smile.

"Yeah, Just a bit nervous," Harry said.

"It's nothing to worry about, Harry," Sirius said, stepping closer and wrapping an arm around him. "Moony will take care of you," He said, kissing Harry's forehead.

The two wolves walked away, disappearing into the surrounding woods. Sirius walked back to the porch to find Draco standing there and gave the blonde a smile. "Come on, let's go eat dinner," Sirius said, leading the younger into the house and to the dining room table.

Throughout dinner, Sirius caught Draco looking out the window and biting his lips, obviously worried. "They will be fine, Draco," He said softly, reaching a hand over to gently pat the blonde's arm.

"Are you sure? What if they leave the wards or someone comes in or something?" Draco asked, his eyes worried and a frown on his face.

"That won't happen; back before Harry was born and we were living here, I had Tom put up some parseltongue wards," Sirius said, taking up the empty plates and bringing them to the sink. "The wards stop people I haven't warded in to get weak, and their magic blocks if they do enter, but the wards mostly stop them. It also stops creatures' front passing through; they can go to the edge of the wards but can't go through," Sirius said, and Draco's shoulder relaxed slightly.

"Come on, I'll show you something," Sirius said, leading Draco out of the dining room and to the room next to the living room.

"Wow," Draco said as he entered. There was a telly, a cupboard with a glass door, showing muggle junk food and a few muggle games. "What's this?" Draco asked, going over to the telly and looking at it.

"This is how I spend my nights when Remus is out wolfing around," Sirius said, picking up the remote and turning it on.
