Remus looked at the table he had set. He had made Sirius's favorite dishes and brought out the special wine. Today was a special day, and he knew Sirius forgot he always did.

Casting a tempus, he saw that his mate was due home any minute. As if timing him, Remus heard the floo flare. Exiting the dining room, he went to the living room to see Sirius standing there.

"Hey, Siri," he said, approaching the shaggy-haired man and kissing his cheek. "How was work?" he asked, and Sirius sighed, leaning into him.

"It was good. We got a few new owls today," the tall man said with a small smile.

"Come, I have a surprise for you," Remus said, taking his hand and leading him into the dining room.

Sirius looked at the setup and gasped. "Wow, this is..." He began before pausing, "Did I forget something?" He asked suspiciously, and Remus shook his head.

"I'll tell you later," He said, leading Sirius to the table.

He sat him down and they ate in silence, Sirius eyeing the wolf suspiciously as he ate.

After that, Remus took him to the living room and sat him on the couch. "Come on, Remmy," Sirius whined. "Tell me what's going on," he said as Remus went over to the shelf, pulled out a gift, and handed it to him.

"What's this?" he asked, gently taking the gift and placing it on his lap. Remus motioned for him to open it, and he did.

Inside the box was a ring, "Happy Birthday, Siri," Remus said, and Sirius looked up at him in realization.

"It's my birthday," The shaggy-haired man said something, and Remus nodded. "Damn," He said.

"You remember every other day besides your birthday," Remus chuckled; he watched as Sirius picked up the ring and looked at it.

"This is beautiful," Sirius said, holding up to the light.

Remus took the ring from Sirius and kneeled in front of him, widening the other's eyes. "Remember when Harry was born, and you said, 'Remus, I wanna be married before Harry turns 3? ' But then things happened, and we got separated, so now I'm asking. Will you marry me?" Remus asked, and Sirius stared at him with tears in his eyes.

"M-married?" He asked, and Remus nodded.

Sirius slid off the couch and wrapped his arms around his mate. "Y-yes," he said, connecting their lips.
